Hello moot. I have a few questions about the events of 2014. Your relationship with the userbase is more strained than ever and your way of handling these controversies has been to ignore it or make fun of us. I am a 4chan pass owner and I want to be proud that I contribute to the site, not ashamed.
1. What is the state of the moderation and janitorial staff? The hack in April revealed that a lot of redditfags, tumblrfags, MALshits and tripfags are janitors. Your reaction to this was to defend Redwood and make fun of us for expecting anonymous, non-attentionwhore moderators.
2. What is the truth of why you censored GamerGate? Your decision to censor it was exceptionally poorly explained, and pissed off a lot of long-term users. The reasons stated didn't hold up to scrutiny. The accusation of Gamergate as a raid was incorrect since it was essentialy a boycott and they tried very harm to prevent nasty behavior. The perception that you censored this so soon after returning from XOXOfest betrayed a trust with the userbase since you appeared to be protecting the reputation of IRL friends.
3. What is the truth surrounding your attendance at XOXOfest? Yes, it is true you attend this conference every year and have spoken there before. However, the fact that you attended Anita's speech and her speech was essentially a rant about 4chan being terrible bothers a lot of users. We expect you to stick up to bullies and demagogues.
4. Why did you nuke /pol/? It did not seem like a prank, it seemed in very bad taste. Your reaction to a lot of reasonable criticisms of you (such as mentioned previously) was to shut it down and whine about being called cuck.
