Study hard, I often had political discussion with my dad. he was however more mellow, the beta kind of leftist/socialist.
After studying at a university a couple of years and watching a lot of Douglas Murray, Stefan M and similar kind of dude. I became very good at arguing, stopped using emotional arguments and became good at pointing out inconsistencies in my dad's arguments.
After a while I then lost interest in political discussion with my parents.
The key thing is to stop emotional based discussions, always take it up on a logical plane and don't use any numbers.
