They didn't even have a backup plan. They thought they could just take over a TV station and then the nation would rejoice.
As soon as they had to actually face opposition, even when they had superior armament - they fucking surrendered only to be killed and thrown off bridges.
They should have assassinated Erdogan off the bat, disabled loyalist runways in a sneak attack and shut down every single TV station.
