Its been over for the last hour or so.
Major coup leaders killed, surrendered, arrested.
Soldiers turning themselves in to the police so they can be protected from mobs of Islamist supporters.
The "air force" element of the coup was literally a rouge pilot in an attack helicopter who has since been shot down.
Istanbul airport is nearly up and running again. Erdogan gave a victory speech in Istanbul to thousands of celebrating people.
They've been mopping up and will continue to for the next 24 or so hours I imagine

It's in their interest to promote the idea the coup is over, no matter the actual situation on the ground. There's been no new developments in the major news outlets for a while now, it's basically a media blackout. Keep pushing the narrative etc.
Social media still reports ongoing fighting, so it's not over. The veracity of those sources can't really be confirmed. Only time will tell.
However with the fierce reprisals happening to the armed forces it would seem that it's likely to swing more of the armed forces to action/not surrender.
