Third party voters are the dumbest people in the world.
In a first past the post system, voting for a third party only helps the major party you disagree with the most.
The only logical approach in a first past the post system is to form the broadest coalition possible. If the Republican party were to break up into two parties - say a Very Conservative party and a Moderate Conservative party - then all future elections (other than local races) would be won by a Democrat.
Instead, the logical approach is for the Very Conservative and Moderately Conservative branches to group together since they disagree with each other less than they disagree with any Democrat.
Anyone who votes third party can't do simple logical thinking. Probably why its filled with Libertarians and Greens
