Everyone seems super butt hurt by this and pretty much the only reason being presented is that he and Trump don't share a lot of opinions/beliefs. I don't think this is a valid criticism, because only bad leaders surround themselves with yes-men who agree with everything their boss says. It is very valuable to work with people who think differently than you and disagree with you on some issues so that one can develop a fuller picture of a situation and limit the impact of ones own bias. I also find it humorous that many on this board criticize SJWs for living in an echo chamber of homogeneous opinions and yet when Trump wants to work with someone who disagrees with him on several issues he gets called dumb or a shill. If Trump wanted to do this to the extreme he would ask Bernie to be his VP, but since the old man would never agree, and it would alienate his current voter base, Pence is kind of a nice option.
