Wanted to figure out my Political Ideology because i wasn't really into politics, i thought maybe I shouldn't ignore stuff like this, didn't really know how to go about it because i like things from all sides of the spectrum. So i took this quiz
Here is the quiz if you're interested
>http://www.isidewith.com/political-quiz
Here are my results
>http://www.isidewith.com/elections/2016-presidential/2412190554
So does this make me a liberal? Ask me anything about my results if you want, disregard the parts where it tells you what i care most about, I half-assed those. How or where do I get more of a sense of what i am? how do you guys do it?
Seeing as Hillary is a conservative in disguise (and a lizard-person under that), it doesn't make you a liberal.
However, considering Trump is at the lower end of the list, fuck off normie.
>>80949221

pfft yeah nah, don't worry. do you support Trump?
honestly, policies are going to play a very small part in this election, it's going to be a game of character most of all.
i have a lot of socially liberal views, but economic conservatism matters the most to me, and also not having kebab in my town.
Are you doing something wrong?

i don't support anyone atm, im not even registered to vote. I believed in the idea that all politicians are lying, like literally everything they say is a lie to me. so i didnt even bother, and i thought my vote didnt even matter when idiots were allowed to vote, i mean i feel like obama got votes just for the fact he was black, so how can i compete with idiots? but i mean, i want to at least educate myself on whats going on in politics and get familiar with the terminology so i can kek with /pol/, im new to the board so yeah.
I guess I'm a lying liberat.
I took this test 6 months ago and I am a atheist from Turkey so I am left-wing but I hate Hillary and I love Trump but it shows that I like Hillary and Bernie and not Trump.
>tfw sided with Berine on most things and trump as 2nd

I'm embarrassed to say this but im 27. idk but politics just seemed like a circus to me, just people trying to get into office and not trying to change things. I literally spend all my time watching basketball and i guess im a sheep. but im here now eh.
>>80949221
First of all, don't trust your results. At all.
Most politicians have made conflicting comments on a lot of positions, so it's pretty inaccurate, plus there is an awful lot of nuance in some positions.
As for the labels, don't worry about them. Most people have internally conflicting political ideologies (conservative on X, liberal on Y, don't give a fuck on Z). They are useful in some circumstances, but in all honesty, fuck em. Let your ideals and beliefs stand on their own 2 feet, don't just label them (at least internally).
If you've got questions about specific issues, or if you want us to assess/critique some of your actual political beliefs then go ahead.

>>80951182
Hmm... Well, first of all take EVERYTHING you read here with a grain of salt. There is a lot of trolling, shitposting, shilling, memeing, etc. There are also a lot of differing genuine opinions (although some are more prevalent than others). There are also some fucking insane people as well.
As for the big political topics... wew lad. take your pick.
We have a whole host of current event related issues and then there are the big all pervasive ones like National Security, Foreign Policy, Economics, Trade, Defence, Education, Infrastructure, Taxes, Debt Management, Civil Rights Issues.... and a million others.
Always remember to be sceptical, regardless of the source. Remember that everyone has biases, both born of political ideologies and wanting to make phat stacks, including people and industries that shouldn't have bias (researchers and journalists being the most common).
Try to have fun, not to take everything too seriously, to take breaks away from here when necessary (it can be a fucking dark and depressing place at times, not to mention confronting, and genuinely does get to some people especially new ones), but also to try and learn about the world at large as well as where you stand in it.

Dude pay attention, we are still at war and bombed 9 other countries that Bush did not. Democrats created ISIS and think we need to invade Iran and all the other Republicans want to invade Iran.
Trump doesn't, he will not fight proxy wars with Russia and he won't fight on behalf of Israel. he's literally the least likely to start a war.

>>80951929
>war
Anything could happen, in all honesty. BUT. He has been on the record as not liking your fucking around in the desert, especially Iraq. He was also one of the few candidates (on BOTH sides) who was open to the idea of working WITH Putin (Russia) as opposed to continuing this pseudo cold war the US/EU/NATO seems obsessed with. That said, he does want to remove kebab. Specifically ISIS. Ruthlessly, quickly, and efficiently. IMO he's much less likely to create new wars than Hillary is, just look at her (and Obama's) recent record. Some scary fucking shit.
>welfare
He doesn't really have a stance AFAIK. Others might correct me. You're right that welfare is abused (by the recipients who claim it, and by the politicians who use it as a tool to get votes). The only welfare related thing I can think of is that he wants to remove the illegal immigrants, which would remove them from both welfare and the workforce (thus saving money on welfare and opening up more jobs for Citizens). Oh, and he wants to bring manufacturing back to America as well (make it profitable for companies to produce there) which would reduce the reliance on it. He also wants to tinker with ObamaCare (remove and replace) to try and lower prices and improve visibility of options. His website goes into that particular issue a fair bit.
fuck off liberal scum
>>80949221
Remember to use the slider of how important the issue is to you in the quiz. I always make immigration most important and shit like gay marriage issue, trans rights, etc the least important because I hardly give a shit either way.

>good sources
There are none. Just varying amounts of bias. Breitbart is very conservatively biased BUT does tend to explore a lot more issues than other MSM outlets and will often be the only quality representation of 'the other side'. I quite like them.
Know much about statistics? You'll see them bandied around a lot. Learning how to interpret them properly, and seeking out the source material for a fuller account, will often expose a lot of bias (I'm thinking of BLM related things specifically, as a current reference).
>isn't trump republican?
Yeeeessss.....? It's a difficult one to interpret. IMO he's a meritocratic nationalist first and foremost, with a lot of conservative views and a fair few liberal views. Like I said though. Most labels suck.

Is a very good starting place. Others can recommend specific rallies etc. Rallies are more for entertainment than anything else though, it's his press conferences and policy speeches that are more informative (though the rallies reveal a lot about his character).
And yeah, the DNC and RNC conventions haven't happened but it's going to be Hillary vs Trump unless some fucked up shit happens (Burnie growing balls, Democracy Spring kicking off, convention drama), but that is very unlikely desu.

-Nuclear energy (I'm for it)
-Space exploration (Sanders hasn't been vocal in support of it with funding)
-Getting cucked by BLM
>>80956286
>-Nuclear energy (I'm for it)
It's a thing most people who want to appear intelligent and cool stick for. It's a view you adopt to feel superior, because nuclear energy is objectively solid.
Once you reach reality, nuclear energy is questionable, so not that clear an issue.
But anyway, my point being that a politician being against nuclear isn't that bad.
>Space exploration (Sanders hasn't been vocal in support of it with funding)
I think a nation that is completely screwed economically should handle its own issues before it focuses on that. At least in the current climate.
>Getting cucked by BLM
That's part of those 5%
Wasn't even trying to aim for anyone, but this was a nice surprise.
80% Trump.
Basically I agree with everything he says except gay marriage (in case I ever want to marry, you know), abortion (though he did say it should be allowed in case of rape and/or should it endanger the mother) and space program.

All I know is I really distrust Hillary, I don't want the US to fuck around in world affairs so much (including bringing in rapefugees), and basically I want the government to leave me alone as much as possible.
Also, I really don't even understand what Trump is doing at this point. The conspiracy about him being a plant by the democratic party to guarantee Hillary the election is becoming more and more believable every day.

Really, the test should only have questions like "Is free college a good idea?" "Do we need a border wall?" "More jobs back to the USA than overseas?" ... those are the only questions that are actually in play.
If you think Trump is going to take major action on some issue he usually avoids like abortion (and this questionnaire weights), you are an idiot
