Minus Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver Canada is a pretty /comfy/ place to live.
There's a lot of open space and wildlife to explore and learn more about yourself.
Plenty of time to camp, hunt, or fish. Our gun laws are a little wacky about what we can have but it's pretty easy to get a gun license and get some fun toys. A lot of our guns are also a lot cheaper than in America. Like the .410 shotgun is around 150-200 dollars here so I can get a cheap gun to shoot with my nephews.
A lot of people here and content with just being left alone. As long as they have their morning coffee and able to keep their toaster they won't bother you.
I think Canada is just better for the /comfy/ level.

Looking it up up to 2012 in the states and 2014 in canada, amount of gun deaths by area was actually interesting. The territories have insane murder rates, Nunavut is the Canadian District of Columbia.
Everywhere west of Ontario were all closer to having the murder rates the safest US states. Other than Nova Scotia, everything east of quebec was safer than anything in the US.
