"In 2016, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the London underground. Today, still wanted by the government they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them....maybe you can hire The A-Team."

What happened?

He was made the foreign affairs minister I think
>>80874539
Minister.
Boris is our new Foreign Secretary
Why do people think the Guardian is pro-Corbyn. Coming up to the leadership election it was almost completely against him (on its front-page at any case) and now its similar, with the delusions of faux-progressives like Suzanne Moore and Polly Toynbee spiralling out of control.
The Guardian is the TedTalks of Newspaper. Gushing liberal nonsense. On the left, we despise liberals, but I don't expect 4channers to understand.
>Theresa May appoints Boris Johnson foreign secretary
How appropriate.
>>80874539
A banter master is foreign minister
>>80875523
You are British but use liberal as a pejorative. Please mate, Adam Smith didn't die for this.
>>80873566
Is he going to be a minister or what, also what's going on with that big titted tory who dropped out?
>>80873052
Foreign office is the new poison chalice. It was Home Office before Reid split it up into three different ministries. Basically it's a position where the minister is expected to look like a bland stateman like globetrotter, but if shit goes wrong, minister gets the full blame. When shit goes right, PM gets the credit.
That's why he's there.
Just an aside, I left the UK 4 years ago. How on fucking earth is Johnson one of the most influential politicians now? He's a fucking charlatan. Even among the political class he's recognized as an arch liar and self righteous fuckstick.
So this means there's nothing to worry about with May, right?
>>80873052
WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
WHO WANTS TO SEE BORIS NEGOTIATING WITH PUTIN??
Boris is waiting for the next election obviously. Appointee PMs rarely survive reelection.
>>80875636
>>Theresa May appoints Boris Johnson foreign secretary
>How appropriate.
"Thank you for dropping out so that I could become PM."
You almost have to wonder if they struck a deal beforehand. It was never clear why Gove's backstabbery would have necessarily forced Boris to drop out.
>>80873052
>Boris is FS
Smart move by May. Boris is stuck dealing with the Brexit for the next 4 years and any compromise will make him hated enough to ensure he will never be PM or pose a threat to May. I know Davis is Brexit minister, but Boris is still going to have a major role as FS. Besides, when was the last time a FS ever became PM?

The Guardian has basically openly campaigned against him in a way which the rest of the media hasn't - they've mostly watched the theatrics with amusement and mild joy. Anyone who thinks the guardian is pro-corbyn has serious comprehension issues.
Also, fwiw, Laura Kuessenberg is virulently anti-corbyn and a tory through and through. It would be interesting to see if she mellows down if a blarite wins the Labour Leadership contest, but she has been an absolute tool of the remaining neo-liberals in the Labour party.

Yeah, Laura's the niece of some sort of royalty as well. Toynbee's from an Oxbrdge family, she got into Oxbridge with only 2 a levels. The journalistic establishment in the UK is an even bigger joke than the average brit/pol/ poster.
Anyway, the NEC has decided that Labour should lose Millions during the leadership campaign, even though meetings I have been to have made it clear that hundreds are willing to pay the £25 quid fee for registered supporter. Corbyn will almost certainly demolish the leadership election, but then I do agree that he's on shaky ground. The Tories seem to be moving away from austerity (as signalled with May's speech and Gideon's sacking) so Labour have to convince people that their spending, will be better than the Tories.
Overall it's a very exciting time to be an organised, active person involved with UK politics, and I guess the polsters will make funny me-me's and use racial slurs lot.
The vocal Tory lad at my university - anti-feminist, anti-immigration, rape apology, virulent bigotry, - who was clearly an avid pol browser has now defected to UKIP.
Hilarious and unsettling times. If any other britpol's look like him I would love to chat with you about progressive politics.

Kinda, but I think if Boris fucked up the British public would kind of just blame it on Boris being Boris, we already know he isn't the most professional. However, it would also make May look irresponsible for giving him the job.

It's almost too good to be true. Nationalists who also happen to be pro Israel are gaining power throughout the EU.
I could almost believe the Mossad is orchestrating this :)
