Red Pill me on getting a job as a 5+ NEET.

Is it hard to get into construction? There is this constitution job available in my area that doesn't say anything about experience. In fact, it doesn't say anything more than, "Construction laborers. [Telephone]." What did they mean by this?

Other NEETs looking for help please join in. Don't let this thread be just about me.

I somehow doubt a cupcake who has played video games for 5 years is going to do any kind of labor job without A)Dropping dead by lunch on the first day or B) Getting fired by lunch on the first day

But yes, labor is easy to get into. Literally stand outside a Home Depot Contractor door at 6am and someone will offer you 75-100 dollars to come labor for the day

I'm an social retard who gets sick in social situations. I can't even hang out with my own family without my mind racing on how not to look stupid in front of them. I can kind of act normal when I have too but most people can see right through me with enough time. I figure a construction job would be good because I would be focus on the work rather than socializing. It seems to be one of those no nonsense, get back to work, kind of job.

As an update: I Googled the telephone number and found the company. Weird that they didn't even put their own company name in the end. I digress. The company, according to this one website, says they have less than a dozen employees. I doubt they would ever let someone like me on the team. Such a small business would want their team members to socialize and become good friends. I really just want to work, do a good job to the best of my ability according to my boss' instruction and go home.

your best bet is to learn a trade or a craft, college has too much liberal niggatry and working your way up from a minimum wage job at something like a retail or kitchen is too difficult, too much corruption and inflation in today's world. that's not an excuse though to still not make it out on your own.
>>
>>80872526
> I doubt they would ever let someone like me on the team.
You're right. Go for a fast food job. Socializing is kept at a minimum and you can take your break alone at a table while you eat your meal and chill on your phone.

>>
>>80873040
there are a lot of aspects you need to think about to work well.

>appearance
>demeanor
>wit
>growth potential
>tenacity

If you really want a job, start with researching how to better yourself.

Read Dale Carnegie's how to win friends and influence people.

Have the testicles to think your life is worth making richer and people will recognize your drive and take you on.

IT you can grow
Electrician you'll retire doing the same job 40 years from now.

This aint too bad of an idea desu. I have a 24 hour grocery store near me and its dead from about 12-5am. They just have 2-3 guys there and normally they just sit there playing cards all night while customers check themselves out at the self checkout. Kind of pisses me off but I always get the 5 finger discount on a few things while they do so I guess it works out.

And I've never been a NEET in my life, thankfully.
>>
>>80873199
I don't have many facts but I know a few general trends:

IT, maybe easier to get into right now and more jobs. You will be less likely to get cucked by unions or boom bust of the construction cycle.
On the flip side more and more IT jobs get outsourced to india and you have more people to compete with in the marketplace. There is also a hard cap on your salary in IT (because the field is so saturated, you wont have your own business, not much upward mobility)

As an electrician you have much greater earnings potential, especially in the long run if you end up owning your own business

autoimmune diseases are caused by foreign proteins being in your blood stream, which means your stomach acid isn't strong enough to digest and break down protein before it enters your intestines - so your bile is probably thick too. stop eating wheat, barley, rye, oats, fried foods, burnt fats, and eat 1 lb of vegetables/fruits per 50 pounds of body weight. take 1 spoonful of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water before a meal to enhance stomach acid. do water fasting, breathing, and praying/meditation is optional. i lost over 100 pounds and healed my asthma. check out dr wallach. love brother.

Six months of applying for jobs and can't find shit.
"Go to college, you need skills" they told me.
So I went to college.
"Get a STEM degree" they told me
So I got a STEM degree.
A few more months later still applying for jobs and can't find any.
"A CS degree isn't enough. You have to show you know how to program."
So I wrote my own Android app and put it up on the store and put that on my resume.
Yet more months go by, still can't find a job.
"You need to design a personal webpage. That will get the attention of employers."
So I made a webpage, and added that to the resume.

Going on a year unemployed now...

Contemplating suicide
>>
you guys should look into stuff you can do from home from your pc. coding, graphics, etc.

i'm lazy and don't really have any other skills so i started doing transcription (basically just typing all day, typing out conversations in video/audio files)

it means i'm technically self employed, but it doesn't feel like work. the pay is pretty shit and obviously you only earn as much as you can be bothered to, but if you were going to be sat on the PC all day anyway it's not too bad, and its something you can put on your CV to explain the gaps

i'm just doing it until i can find an apprenticeship in something i'm interested in. uni is the other route, but i just dont see that happening

You can be a construction laborer, just be honest about what you know and what you dont know or you could hurt yourself or someone else.

They will most likely have you hauling rubble for a long while and slowly but surely they will introduce you to new tasks.

Keep up your spirits Op, there is no job position to low.
>>
I graduated high school 2 years ago, so far been fired from 3 seperate jobs all before passing probation period, so as far as employers are concerned I'm at best 2 years unemployed, at worst a massive red flag.

Not even bothering to look for a new job because I got really depressed after the third one.

I feel you.

Let's face it. The system is fucked. They tell you to go to college to waste our time. When we're done we have a useless piece of paper because employers also need someone with "more experience." If I can't get experience in my field cause they won't hire me, where the hell else can I get it. OK I need a job regardless, I'll scrape the bottom of the barrel. Fast food, retail, etc. Apply, employer looks you have a degree, thinks, what the fuck is wrong is this nigger doing, is he trolling. Pass

We were lied to all our lives anon.

Basically my dad is an alcoholic and his tantrums fucked up my studies. I dropped out and tried to make it big as a real estate agent in Hongcouver but that failed too. I've sent resumes to literally 100 places and only had one response and it was from an MLM. Poo in loos are imported here at a regular basis and it's hard to even become a security guard. It's going to take 20 days for the license to come because every Poo decides to take the course.

So that's why I'm a NEET virgin at 21 and a half. Life is suffering. At least I'm not black.

Fresh NEET here.

I just graduated highschool, i've been out of school for about 2 months i've applied at about 5 places, no calls back from any of them.

I've even went as far as to go to the place(s) and ask if they've looked at my application, to which im usually met with "what's your name?" "oh okay, we will give you a call" No call yet.

And in all honesty, i'm 19, i have not worked any official jobs (i do freelance tile work with my uncle when he needs help, and he pays me if im in need of money, but its under the table)

I really, really, REALLY would prefer not to work in fast food, although i know id be guaranteed a job and 7.25, but i'd loathe it.

Ideally, i want a retail job, or some grocery store job, but again i feel like my lack of real work experience is holding me back.

I need a decent job soon though, to hold me over for the next few months before i sign up for the army.

Any advice non-NEETs? Am i doing something wrong? Help!

Lie on your CV.

Add a couple of years extra in College, but it can't be related to what you're hoping to work with, because then they'll ask more about it.

lol the advanced NEET knows how to repair vehicles and electronics and build is own home and generate his own power, and pump his own water

because the NEET learns what he feels like learning. he learns things he is actually interested in
and he learns them on his own time for free.

the advanced NEET is immune to wagecuck fears of no more wage, no more job and no "future" (wagecuck slavery plan)

the advanced NEET understands more than any wagecuck and can outlive over 9000 wagecucks
the advanced NEET as actual knowledge and skill while the wagecuck is only pretending.
the wagecuck has a false sense of security

the wagecuck is fed a monthly check, and a large number makes the wagecuck happy.
this keeps the wagecuck out of important issues and thinking about important things.
this keeps the wagecuck out of the NEETs way

you are correct. NEETs should even look into their aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and other extended family for connections. even if a relative retired years ago, they can still, in many cases, pull some strings and get you a job.

of course a lot of NEETs struggle with more than just finding employment, i think a lot of NEETs battle with anxiety and emotional issues. but a huge amount of these compound once you go NEET. obviously your self esteem will be shit-tier if you're an unemployed 20 something with no prospects for the future.

I got a job at a call center in April after being NEET for 3 years. I get paid $12 and its full time, in august it goes to $14. We also get new shifts then and I'm worried my new shift is going to be harder but I'm still going to try my hardest

One thing that sucks is there's a lot of niggers and degenerates that work there. Also they expect us to keep our call times below a 7min daily average and if one person says they weren't satisfied on the survey we get in trouble. But I try my best everyday and I feel blessed I got a job that lets me sit down and be in the AC.

I would say if you're a NEET the most important thing is not to get bent out of shape about it. Job or no job, there's always stress in life. Don't let people beat you down about it and just live everyday as good as you can

But if you do want a job, don't get discouraged they're out there you just have to try. And dressing nicely will really help because most people in the world these days are covered in tattoos or have stupid colored hair or don't know how to dress... Etc... You can beat them out even if you're NEET by just acting like a professional adult.

Can't really say anything about construction, but if the job ad doesn't mention anything about previous experience or qualifications, I think you should go for it anyway. Call them and ask them about it. If you can showcase motivation and a positive attitude with willingness to learn, I think there is a chance.

Also, someone once gave me the advice to drop this attitude of "but they probably don't want someone like me, I'm not good enough, they'll want to hire a lot more skilled people". Just send your application and let the employer decide whether you could be worth hiring. You can't succeed if you lack the courage to try, so don't let your fear become the obstacle that prevents you from getting a job. If it doesn't work out, at least you'll get some experience that can help you with your later job applications.

you should read some books on investing. for real, dude. you can't just leave that money in the bank. if you're afraid of a habbening it's not like the bank is the best place to keep the money. and neither is keeping it in your house. be reasonable.

the most important thing is diversifying your investments though. i was lucky in that my relatives taught me how to invest but if you're not without that luxury you need to read some books, dude. and start investing sooner rather than later.

inflation happens, bro. and the bank's interest doesn't make up for it,.

my family members who taught me investing praised warren buffet's books although i have no idea how relevant those are today

the most important thing is, again, diversifying. don't put all your eggs in one basket. if we're talking like upwards of $1 mil you NEED to invest it, inflation means you're basically losing money by not investing it somewhere. i had one family member invest in a nice property that is still churning out cash for me and my family decades later. i had another family member put a lot into mutual funds that accrued hundreds of thousands of dollars over time.

i would say read whatever investing books are popular on amazon or something, but my family always praised buffet

Keep applying ... you'll eventually get a job if you want to. Its not really that hard....
>>
>>80879810

namely that my family members who invested always praised buffet but, again, i have no idea how relevant that is in today's day and age. i'm sure it helped my family members get started decades ago but i cannot vouch for how relevant it is now.

so i would read some of buffet's books but also whatever was on the top selling list at amazon or somewhere like that.

The best thing you can do is buy houses and rent them out.

It's physical, in your hands and there's no negative stigma by having your savings locked into something most people won't or are afraid of signing away to.

Personally I live minimum, I have no phone or anything that wastes expenses other than a gym membership. I buy a big box of wheetbix and it lasts me a month ($5).

Save ALL your cash, live at home, GET JOB, read random stuff that will advance you above the plebs, become educated without going into a university. You have the internet.

You sound exactly like me. I've been dropping in and out of jobs and school for years. Every time I get something going for myself, my head starts fucking with me so badly from all the physical, emotional, and sexual abuse I went through growing up that I all but have a mental breakdown and can't maintain a goddamn thing.

I thought I had a perfect job for me for several months. I was working overnight in a bread depot. I loved that I was active constantly during work and didn't have to put up with other people's bullshit all the time. I was building muscle and losing weight and feeling good, until I started getting shooting pain down my leg, and my shoulders kept dislocating on the job. I can hardly stay on my feet for a couple of hours at this point. At 25.

Currently I'm looking at finding work as a receptionist for some doctor in my local hospital. I know it's probably beta as all fuck, but my options are exhausted. I can't deal with call center work. That makes me want to an hero even more than I already want to every day.

You can spend all the time you want bettering yourself, but every single person I know got their job through nepotism--they knew the person hiring, or they knew somebody in the company. Sometimes it's an insanely long chain of nepotism. Five people in my circle of friends started working at the same place. They all referred each other. Nobody wants anti-social captain autismo literally who. The draw of the familiar is too strong. The fact that they're not ideal for the position doesn't even factor in. The cohesiveness of the unit is considered entirely more important. If just because you're forced to spend 160 hours a month with them.

I was thinking about military, but having seen what our military has been used for, I don't think I should spend my life helping terrorism.
My other option was suicide, but since I still live with my father and grandparents, I can't do it. I don't give a shit about my own life, but I do give a shit about scarring my family. I couldn't do that to them.

Depending on the labor, it's not so bad, just extremely soul-draining.

Woke up early in the morning making and loading $700 worth of firewood trailers for 4 days straight. If I had no soul I could have done this forever, it's not so bad on the body. You need water and food all throughout the day and you can work nonstop, pretty much. As long as you dont have to lift super heavy shit all day long, manual labor anyone can do if they completely stop thinking. I only did it so I could have a month's worth of NEETing in my mom's basement.

This is excellent advice. Buy a home and rent it. You have potential capital appreciation on the property and reliable income by renting.

This is safe and smart and buys you time to get back on your feet. Plus you can even create a LLC for your rental investments so you're self employed on a resume.

2 year NEET here.

Not being able to drive (narcolepsy) is no excuse for this. But having to forever have your parents drive you to work, or walk (When half the year is a winter wonderland) is always fun. I could move to an urban area and be close enough to everything to walk. I could get a car to drive extremely short distances but paying for gas/insurance/car payments seems like a waste for such little things, and god forbid I nod off at the wheel once and crash into a pole.

I could try and work at home with an IT job. My dad does it. I could go to a tech school, and then work from home. At least with that I could think about moving out. But again, the no driving thing sucks. Is living with parents that bad? They'll never get grandkids that way. But then again, wouldn't the grandkids have narcolepsy as well potentially? I don't want to spread it on to a new generation. I'd have to get a date first and I have social anxiety. Also, sex would be fun because of my mild cataplexy.

Sure, I have a bipolar narcissist parent with anger problems but I can't blame my own problems on that. People who've had far worse problems and harder lives have succeeded. So why can't I? I want a "normal" life, but what is normal? Everyone has their own demons to fight. Reminds me of the time I was a little kid wondering why "daddy was screaming at mommy". Ah, life moves so fast.

I could say at least I'm "redpilled". At least I don't commit crimes, don't do drugs (meth/coke), ect. But not doing bad doesn't mean you're doing good. And being a NEET isn't a positive.

I don't know anymore to be honest. I'm thinking about just going with the tech school/online classes, and working from home. I'd be working, and making money which is better than what I'm doing now. (Nothing.)

I do not believe that you need a degree to get into Welding or working on the Railroad.

Seems these are certification type things, but you're going to have to do probably 2 years of it to get in and you're going to need to ask people associated with that (likely in person) if you want to.

You know those guys who drive around on the railroad or you see em inspecting something out there... you could be one of those guys. I bet they get paid 15+.

Someone else on here in Welding says he makes 6 figures. I know welders frequently get paid 40 per hour but depending on the opportunities it could be feast and famine. If you did get in on that, and was willing to move, I bet you could make six figures like that guy too.

Both of these fields will require good Memorization (or okay studying habits at least), and good Manual Dexterity for welding.

Another option is Trucking - make 16-20 per hour driving all day long. Youll need to go to Trucking school and youll need good Memory to pass the tests (I failed them). Puts you in a good position to meet online hookups and being a Trucker is kinda a turnon.

None of these 3 jobs will ever go obsolete. Least not for the next 100 years. None of them require college.

You are all living in possibly the worst time for a white male in the west. We are in the largest labor surplus the world has ever seen at the same time where global economy growth and innovation has already peak and is diverting to a flat 0. Continue to go to college, wage slave, and compete with 100s of other males for a the member of the opposite sex that will work 1/100th of the amount you did to get through life. Welcome to hell.
>>
I'm a bit surprised to see people with technical degrees like CS or engineering not get jobs after school. You guys going to shit schools or getting shit GPAs or something.
>>
>>80885103
You're welcome, I hope that helps in some way in finding you a great job. Constantly surprises me how many candidates make the most basic errors which can easily be avoided.

Think clearly and positively and you CAN'T go wrong, remember employers NEED employees.

I'm not NEET but I would probably make more if I was. I work between 20 and 30 hours a week at a 'gas station'. I gave up about 4 years ago after a particularly shitty period in my life and I'm only now starting to realise it was a mistake.
>>
>>80875568

How do I get a job? I'm good at typing.
>>
>>80869132
I recently got back into being a NEET.
My last job ended after I learned they were doing tons of illegal shit and if I told anyone I'd go down with them, so I just quit.
>>
>>80872185
It's possible. Everything's just harder the longer you go on.
>>
>>80869132
Applied for construction. It means either be white with foreman experience, a felon who can't afford not to have a job, or an illegal who will do it for less.

If you're white, go to a temp agency. I've been to a few and they streamline me and in my current one I was a supervisor in three months.
>>
I haven't worked in over a year.
But today I did have a job interview at Win Dixie. They're thinking of putting me on Produce and some hibbie jobbie on cashier. Only part time tho. Still, it'd be great if I could buy a MAGA hat.
>>
>>80886220

I've never thought to put DOB on a CV.
When is a gap too much and needs to be explained?
What if you've had loads of short-term part-time jobs that are kinda the same?
Any why not report earlier than 15 mins to an interview?

Do you have a example CV you consider good?

Thanks
>>
>>80886106
This also include automation. To the people talking about truck driving you are fucked.
>>
>>80869132

Just go down to the construction site, walk up to the foreman, look him in the eye and give him a firm handshake. Not only will he give you a job then and there, but he will also give you the hand of his daughter.
>>
>>80869132
100% serious construction is super duper easy to get into. If you have no experience doing anything, you can pick any random trade (I would look into what you think does the easiest work [hint: It's data companies], not what has the highest pay average) and then just apply, apply, apply. You will make slightly above minimum wage, but it's guaranteed 40 hours a week, weather pending.

Good luck anon.

Nice, I signed up for level 1 and 2 evening welding courses at a local college, it's free with no previous requirements at all, it starts in September and lasts about 14 weeks. As someone with almost no qualifications it sounds like a good choice desu, I want to move abroad eventually too.

At work the guys also let me practice on scrap aluminium too, it's pretty damn fun
>>
>>80886813
On the plus side, living out of their truck will prepare them for eventuality of having to live out of a vehicle because they can't afford rent.

>I've never thought to put DOB on a CV.
as an employer you need to know as much about a person as possible and age is critical in gauging experience against freshness. They know if you are old or young when they meet/talk to you anyway, so don't hide it.

>When is a gap too much and needs to be explained?
Depends, if you a Uni leaver and you have 2-3 months without explanation then this looks strange. At 30+ anything a over 6months to a year needs explaining. Otherwise it is easy to assume you are trying to hide something and no employer wants to take on an employee who might be evasive. Generally the older you are and the looser your profession (freelancer, designer), the more you can get away with.

>What if you've had loads of short-term part-time jobs that are kinda the same?
That's fine, just explain it, don't assume that it isn't important, someone might find that interesting or a problem. Either case, honesty is very important to me and I expect to most employers.

>Any why not report earlier than 15 mins to an interview?
It can be annoying. I have PA and when someone comes in for an interview she usually lets me know and it adds an amount of subconscious pressure on me which annoys the fuck out of me and I doubt I am unique. Also it makes them look a little bit loserish. Further, it can be a burden to look after someone for 30 mins or longer by a reception when your PA/receptionist is busy. I would recommend arriving early BUT just don't report in too early.

>
>Do you have a example CV you consider good?
Good question and I to be truthful as of right now, I don't. I can imagine one but don't have a specimen I can share. I have some good CVs sent to me but these I can't share.

yes, just look for online transcription companies, apply through their site, or find an email contact and let them know you are a freelance transcriptionist looking for work

rev is like the mcdonalds of transcription. you'll have strict deadlines, bad pay (as low as around $0.40 per audio minute transcribed) shit audio quality most of the time, people constantly grading your work (sometimes wrongly), and metrics that you have to keep up in order to get the "best" files. you also have to compete with others on a marketplace-type system where the first one to claim a job gets it.

>>80886088
yeah i found out from someone on here too

>>80886518
>>80887527
just google transcription companies and try your luck. they'll probably give you some test files to do.

see coinbase dot com and circle dot com, get another bank account IRL or at simple dot com, link coinbase or circle to simple bank account, then you can transfer money to the new bank account to buy and sell BTC without giving the buttcoin companies direct access to your real bank account numbers.

29 yr ol NEET here for 5+ years! Living in the Deep South and looking like a tranny doesn't work to well :( But I'm really a hard worker tho, long ago when I had a job my boss use to say he wish he had 5 more like me.

Would join the navy but I don't want to cut my hair :/ Rarely get call backs from anywhere I throw apps at. Rip world :3

3 year NEET here. I had a retail job last year and I felt ashamed to be working there, like I was too old for it even though I was only 2 years out of high school and a lot of my coworkers were older than me. I've realized the only proper way to proceed as a NEET is to become a self-made entrepreneur. You don't have any student loans so you've already got a head start on most people. Now treat everyday like an opportunity to make money and connections. If you aspire for a shitty retail or grocery job, that's what you'll get.
