British banks already were bailed out. But in truth what makes canary warf the power house, and heart of the British economy, is the euopean financial passport that allows it to sell banking services to EU countries easily. Simply put. Without being in the EEA (at which point leaving was fucking pointless) that won't be given back, crippling our most important industry.

Besides, why do people naively thing a trade deal is specifically positive? It's far easier to bully Britain, a country entirely reliant on importing food, fuel, raw resources and manpower who exports ideas, education and high tech engineering than it is Europe, into a deal that's worse for Britain grab before. Your academics can, and will, leave once the reduction in funding comes, the engineers will follow the contracts, etc. The things that make Britain, fundamentally it's strong education and world class scientists/engineers can go where they please, and trust me were already thinking about doing it.

Now ofc, you'll probably ignore this because brexitards don't have a bone of critical thinking in their body (else why vote for brexit), but it's wirth pointing out that if we leave the EEA out country is entirely fucked.

I file with these agencies. I’m a small fry, fun sized, itty bitty baby toy. I swim at the shallow end, I dance with platform shoes. I’m Dinklage in the game of chairs. I crash and my planes are crashed. I shoot and I am shot. I yell at them and throw them out of planes, and every single hired gun's had the fucking time of his life. And I am not a big guy. If there’s one twisted bastard in this plane, it’s this big guy here.
So congratulations, Bane. I’ve just officially found out your master plan.

All of your comment is wrong but it's pointless discussing it with you, you are very much in denial and that's evident from the fact, that you still haven't accepted Brexit.

You might have spent your life in a little lefty bubble, receiving attendance certificates but never really understood there are winners and losers.

Why don't you do what ever intelligent Remainer has already done? . . . .ie. Accept the referendum and move on.
>>
So what happens when May openly says she won't end freedom of movement, will Nigel speak up at that point. May is not even going to cut ties with the EU, she's just going to loosen then, keep freedom of movement and keep us in the single market which 52% of the country don't fucking want.

Many companies in Britain have been bribed by the EU, to move production to more 'needy' areas, this list is by no means comprehensive but it makes you think?
>>
>>80701562

see can't even refute my point. idiot. I'm a research scientist, just finishing my phd in England and you know what? I'm gtfo Britain as soon as I can, losing out on massive funding, opportunities and collaboration with hundreds of thousands of colleagues on the mainland because some working class idiot has cognitive dissonance/a lack of critical thinking and hates foreigners is insane. Simply speaking Britain has lost nearly 25 years worth of maths education in me with this, and I'm not the only one.

>>80701598

"Hur dur we get to maek trade deals" is such a retarded thing. If you really think Britain, a massively import reliant country, is in any position to negotate a deal even half as good as what the EU can? Its a braindead non factor "advantage". Sure, we can regulate things, like removing the human rights convention, environmental protection, worker rights and protection of our natural resources.

Yaaay, so many positives. Leaving the EU is fucking braindead and something only a person who is either stupid, misinformed or xenophobic would support.

>Many in the banking industry fear that the Renzi measures are too little, too late. The system lacks capital partly because non-performing loans sit on Italian banks’ books at 40 cents but are valued on the market at only 20 cents. The Bank of Italy has no official data on the capital shortfall but Goldman Sachs analysts argue that, in their worst case scenario, Italian banks have a gross capital gap of €38bn.

It's paywalled, but if you search "Italy banks financial times" it should show up.

So I guess the answer is no, but I'll give you a brief rundown because you aren't going to read it anyway:

Sovereignty of the country: the ability to decide our own laws, as per the country votes
Restoring democracy: the EU is a non-democratic entity in spite of its elected MEPs
Immigration: while you would call it xenophobic, It would be naive to pretend that nobody has lost their job as a result of it, these people voted to leave and should not be looked down on for a completely logically sound decision
Trade: While the EU negotiated our deals, that was because we weren't allowed, and it would take decades in many cases, as each member had a say, often making the trade deals far worse than had we negotiated alone

It's just an inevitable phase that the Labour Party has to go through. Corbyn was borne up to the leadership on a tide of popular anger over austerity cuts, unemployment and criminal banksters getting away scot free. The same tide that created Syriza, Podemos and fueled the Bernie Sanders campign. The Blarite rump is BTFO (more so after Chilcot) and need to be purged by the membership. However they are clinging on and taking some retarded stooges from the so-called "soft left" with them.

All will be resolved soon.

>>
>>80704374
Yes. Your mind is not fully developed until you're in your mid-twenties, and those who do not pay tax do not deserve a say. Make the voting age 25.
>>
>>80704226

Only 44% believe it would have a positive effect of some kind. The rest hold some other opinion
So actually the majority believe it would not have a positive effect
>>
>>80704298
This phase will also mean that they won't be electable until another Blair comes along. Good riddance really. And if Britain continues to move to the right, Labour may actually never come back.
The polling data shows that no matter how fired up the Labour membership is on issues like austerity, the EU, tranny toilets, cuck rights, welcoming rapefugees and "banksters", the majority of the voting population doesn't give a fuck. The fact that the views of the membership don't come even close to those of the general population is not a good sign for the future of the party.
And there's also the fact that a lot of the Corbyn supporters aren't even Labour voters (see all the SWP signs at the anti-coup rally in front of the HoP last week).

I wouldn't be so optimistic if I were you.

She is a sacrificial lamb for Shirley Benn and Spear-Chucker Umbooboo. They know that whoever kicks off the leadership election will be unpopular because of it, so they convinced her to stand because she wants to retire anyway. The plan is, when Corbyn is barred from standing, Shirley Benn will stand against Andrea Ego saying something like "Oh my goodness, Andrea how could you! This is tearing our party apart, vote for me.".

The evidence for this is that in her campaign launch she distanced herself from the Blairites, despite being one is the only reason she is standing. This is in an effort to fool the party members into thinking the Blairies and red tories had nothing to do with the coup.

She is also trying her hardest to put people off from voting for her, as evidenced by her pathetic crying woman act and use of pink banners at her launch and a logo that makes her campaign look like it is some sort of mid 90s American sit-com where the show and main character is named after the lead actress. It is a fucking joke and in no way a serious attempt at becoming leader.

Bare in mind that whatever you actually ask you will first have to submit a question to Ego's team, which they will vet and decide if you will be called upon to ask it. Competition can be fierce so you have to read your opponent here so you can wrong foot them deftly enough so you get the floor for your fake question then ask the real one instead quickly enough that they don't dive bomb you to get the microphone out of your hands or have time to tell Ego not to answer it.

For the fake question try submitting something really brown nosing like "as a strong independent woman what is your opinion on same sex marriages?" that she will feel compelled to answer as she thinks it will make her look good to all her dyke mates.

Then when you are given the microphone say "as a strong independent woman, after your local party deselects you, will you still try to stand as labour leader?"

For a minute I thought you were going to say something clever.

To be honest, I have a lot of sympathy for the idea of a "fortress Europe" economy instead of leaving first world white countries at the whim of chinks who can undercut us by treating people worse than we treat our machinery.

But the EU is neoliberal and globalist, it's not the fortress Europe we need. It's playing by America's rules and that's a game it just can't win.

The EU hasn't been the cause of Britain's industrial decline, but it's not innocent either.

The primary cause of industrial decline has been the policies of our own governments. When the pound began to recover in value thanks to North Sea oil in the 1980s, we should have had an industrial policy of selecting a few non-arms industries to protect and to modernize so that even with a highly valued currency we'd be competitive internationally. We didn't. We bought the "Service sector" meme.

The EU's fetish for competitive tender to stop national governments limiting competition is a factor for sure, but in sectors like Rail it's completely possible to have a nationalized system - as France and Germany do - but we don't. We let foreigners own and operate our railways. (And just as inefficiently as British Rail to boot.)

Similarly this is the case for UK airports, Scottish Power, oil pipelines, London bus services, Hinkley Point (Amusingly as noted owned in part by the french government - but remember, we had to denationalize because government ownership is inherently inefficient!)

Ultimately the problem is ideological, and the EU largely shares that ideology.

Curtis is brilliant.

The Trap especially.

>The programme describes how... New Labour in the UK decided to measure everything it could by introducing such arbitrary and unmeasurable targets as:
>Reduction of hunger in Sub-Saharan Africa by 48%
>Reduction of global conflict by 6%

>It also introduced a rural community vibrancy index in order to gauge the quality of life in Britain's villages and a birdsong index to measure the apparent decline of wildlife.

>In industry and public services, this way of thinking led to a plethora of targets, quotas and plans. It was meant to set workers free to achieve these targets in any way they chose. What the government did not realise was that the players, faced with impossible demands, would cheat.

>Curtis describes how, in order to meet arbitrary targets:

>Lothian and Borders Police reclassified dozens of criminal offences as "suspicious occurrences" in order to keep them out of crime figures;
>Some NHS hospital trusts created the unofficial post of "The Hello Nurse,"[7] whose sole task it was to greet new arrivals in order to claim for statistical purposes that the patient had been "seen", even though no treatment or examination took place during the encounter;
>NHS managers took the wheels off trolleys and reclassified them as beds, while simultaneously reclassifying corridors as wards, in order to falsify Accident & Emergency waiting times statistics.

>In a section called 'The Death of Social Mobility', Curtis describes how the theory of the free market was applied to education. In the UK, the introduction of school performance league tables was intended to give individual schools more power and autonomy, to enable them to compete for pupils.. Following publication of the school league tables, wealthier parents moved into the catchment areas of the best schools, causing house prices in those areas to rise dramatically—ensuring that poor children were left with the worst-performing schools.

And Bitter Lake.

Wish people would stop fucking whinging about death threats desu.

99% of the time it's not credible. It's just "@angelaeagle stop being mean to corbyn or i'll kill u with hammers!!!!
sent from my iPhone. Location: Paris"
Just fuck off. That's not a credible death threat, that's someone being a twat online.

Maybe I just spend too much time on imageboards.

>Try to disenfranchise the voters of the party by ensuring Corbyn isn't on the ballot
>Get surprised when people turn to means other than the ballot paper to resolve their problems.

It's not good behaviour, but she does bring it on herself.

I say this as someone with very little sympathy for Corbyn beyond that he pisses off all the right people.
