Having drove for uber for over 500 rides, I can understand where he is coming from. What people now do with uber is that they will want you to pick them up like 6 miles away, you get there and the guy wants to go less than a mile. You basically drove that person around for free.
You offers these people a safe ride with a brand new car, after wear and tear, gas, taxes, how much as that guy made on your drive of only 1 mile? That's less than $2.50.
So you are basically driving around people for free. On top of that shit, you are at their mercy, even if they give you a 4 out of 5 stars, that's a mark against your score and after you receive a number of these they will deactivate you.
Again, don't drive for uber if you do not want to. You will always bump into people like this, several times a day where they treat you like crap and then go like 2 miles bro, a whopping 3 bucks.
