Jews are a convenient scapegoat in the sense that they are a clear cause of many of the problems our nations face. We aren't entirely blameless ourselves of course, but lets just start with the biggest causes first.

Jews are bad, but even without them Whites seem to have some inherent trait that makes us susceptible to self sabotage through altruism. Likely a result of our focus on high trust societies.
