I don't like the pragmatic lens that people use to disparage his actions, he did an act of heroism - no further analysis needed.
/pol/ reveres Hitler and yet pragmatically maybe Hitler did worst for right wing causes than he did good with the soviet union expanding and topics like eugenics becoming taboo.
So basically what I'm saying is that if more men did these kind of actions then our problems would be resolved and for that alone he should be respected here even if him acting along was pragmatically not useful. He is a role model, an exemplar.

Our prisons work on a system that only goes to 21 years, after that you get "forvaring" if you are still a danger to society. Meaning they keep you forever and review your case every 4-5 years or something like that.

In Norwegian law there exists the possibility to extend a sentence if the prisoner is likely to endanger society, or something along those lines.
Basically he can stay in there forever and they can extend his sentence forever.

I dunno, who exactly did he kill? Was it a combination of whites and browns and children? I think he took his ideology too far or at least just misguided. Brevik did minor damage and just warded people away from his views and made talking about nationalism be seen as even worse.
