Not saying I buy it, but sensible people can believe in God. Norman Geisler and Alvin Plantinga are a couple of good philosophers in Christian apologetics still alive.

This is very similar to my experience, including the homeschooling. I actually though don't blame my mother too much because she wasn't a raging feminist, but rather a former Catholic Nun. I REALLY resent my father though, a former California 60s hippy, for letting me be isolated and not realizing part of development is social and romantic.
I came to realize the problem was that my parents viewed me more like a pet than a child they were raising to integrate into and be a functional member of society.

So is evolution, lad. Theories are backed up by experimentation and successful predictions. So far, QM has passed all tests, so we conclude it is most probably true. We can't know 100% at this stage, perhaps not ever, but we can say, past a reasonable doubt, it's a reliable model we can use to predict reality on both the macroscopic and infinitesimal levels.
