"In 1880 Marx was assisting French socialists in writing the program for the Worker's party of France. Marx did help the party in writing the program but had some serious disagreements with them. Marx had issues with demanding better work conditions and wages from the bourgeoisie. This is where the quote comes into proper context. Marx wanted to destroy the idea that if demanding such reforms from the capitalists is believed to be mainstream Marxism, then he is not a Marxist.

The question is why Marx was against demanding such reforms in favor of the workers?

Well, for Marx those were tools to dilute the worker’s revolutionary spirit. Such reforms will keep the workers in delusion of a better future and keep them incorporated in the bourgeois culture. In the communist manifesto, Marx warns his readers that one of the most dangerous Bourgeois is the one who will propose free healthcare and other social benefits because the workers will be appeased, not realizing their condition and their alienation and instead work within the confine of the system. Workers will not emancipate because the system will absorb them into it.

Therefore, Marx was actually destroying the delusion of the moderate socialists who did not see the need of a revolution or overthrow of the capitalist system rather resorted to parliamentary politics and democratic reforms to enhance the condition of the working class."

So basically he's telling social democrats that if they think that is communism, then he's not a communist.

He offered a logical construct how to explain certain events in history known as revoltions.
How it all started 2000 years ago and how it could end if this system is extrapolated to future events.

Marxism is a political ideology, a movement which will try to fullfill Marx predictions.

So (((Marx))) just gave -without certain intention- some kind of ideological foundation which was used to justifie often cruel and barabaric sect like movements trying to become the final socialst state.

But to be quite honest familiy Marxs "system" of revolution is utter bullshit.

interesting. so he want to allow the bourgeoisie to abuse and oppress works to the point of revolution, correct?

what text is this in? where does he say "i am not a maxist? some other article?

not allow the workers to be abused, but to resist the compulsion to be lulled into a false sense of satisfaction by tiny and ineffectualy concessions made by factory owners.

in essence, he was saying that to continue working under harsh conditions keeps alive the spirit necessary to drive change, though i believe he should have extrapolate on the intent a bit further, so as not to appear uncaring for the worker's plight altogether.
>>
>>80365172
The actual reason he did that was because he had some sort of stomach problem
>>
>>80366457
AFAIK he never wrote is hypothesis with the intention that some weirdo would make a quasi religious sect out of it killing 100 and 100 of million people.

He just was a very intelligent (((observer))) and had rich parents like Engels to pay for his fancy travelling and living exept the part were he was hunted and died in poverty in england.

So the capitalists have perfected the system. They used some marxists ideas so that the workers/peasents are comfortable enough to never revolt.... modern "democratic" socialism.

Can this actually be called capitalist socialism because the capitalists use this method to numb the revolutionary spirit?
