Never been. I can say that Austin, El Paso, and the very rural parts of Texas are shit. Houston is ok. The Dallas metroplex is pretty nice. I'd recommend a different state though, I'm on a roadtrip finding where I want to settle and really like Florida (fucking great gun laws, just like Texas.) I'm going to North Carolina next which looks like it'll be great.
