You could ask it about lots of extremely wealthy people, from bankers to drug lords who have billions of dollars, yet continue to accumulate even more. Many social science scholars say that for these people from a certain point money is not about what they can buy, but about power and status. Put simply, he wants to earn more money because it makes him more rich.
