We built the most powerful nations in the world. While then Greeks had heavy armor, Persians wore cloth. Japanese folded their swords repeatedly because their ore working was such low quality they had to reinforce and refine the sword ritualistically. We were the achievers, the lords of space, racing against ourselves because no one else was around to compete. It is pleasant to have this as part of my race, though I have to admit I personally had nothing to do with these accomplishments.
