My sis lives in Silverstream in Upper Hutt. My nephew is a cop there. I've been three times to visit, but the flight costs a mint. So I can't really afford it. It also is 26 hours flight. And landing at Wellington scares the shit out of me. The fucking runway is in the sea and the crosswinds are mental. The pilot aborted the landing once. He said over the the intercom thing "we're going round again. It's windy". I almost shit myself.
I'm going again in August. This time I'll break up the journey by stopping in Singapore. Amazing food and hospitality.

I've thought about it. But it's nice here. I have a wife, kids and a cat. Uprooting and going to live in your country would cause loads of stress.
I have a good job here. I analyse blood samples in a hospital. My wife is an intensive care nurse. We make good money, and our kids are settled. Going to live in NZ would cause loads of drama.
Weird thing is that I don't feel 'abroad' there. It's like England. I don't wish to offend you, but your country is is very similar to mine. We have more old buildings and stuff. You even have fish and chips and pies.

that will be because NZ is only british immigrants compared to the USA which is all of Europe and when NZ was colonized they did it with the purpose of creating "A Better England" not a different country

NZ is supposed to look like England. We had to cut down and burn out all of the Bush then plant grass all over the country and then plant oaks and poplars everywhere so we could recreate the homeland
