It's not exactly pie slicing, pie slicing is meant for limiting your exposure to enemies while controlling as much ground as possible in doorways, corners, ect. Most of the time its for being unsure if theres a target or not. Its not technically pie slicing, its more of a shoot and scoot maneuver. Since there was a pillar there, it's one of those "Eh, close enough" things.
