Spanish or Portuguese?
I would say Portuguese because it's far more exotic than Spanish. That and it isn't being forced down our throats in the US like Spanish is.
>>80123438
Spanish is the only sensible answer.
Portugese sounds like a donkey dying. One of the stupidest sounding languages out there. Ranked slighlty above nigger clicking and faggy sounding thai.
>>80123938
english sounds stupid too.
>but Austrian German from 1930s sounds like angels
Spanish
Portuguese is just a bastardized Spanish. The language doesn't even make sense and no one even thinks about it when asked to list romance languages.
>>80124452
Depends on the dialect. Portuguese from Portugual sounds slightly better imo.
>>80123438
Spanish is closest to latin, making it superior. I for one, can't stand it.
>>80123438
I like them both.
Romance language are far superior to study Philosophy and Literature.
>>80123938
this
>>80124695
Portuguese makes a lot of sense, especially compared to English.
>actually learning hue languages
>not learning something useful and important like Cornish
They're both shit, everyone speaks english nowadays so all other languages are pointless as anything beyond a hobby.

You subhuman baboon. You literal nigger.
How dare you speak, you swarthy jungle monkey. How dare you open your big lipped, rim encrusted, menthol cigarette smelling mouth?
You are human trash, Diego Tyrone LeShawn de Maradona. Universally despised, derided and mocked. Your nationality and skin tone offers no hope to the world that South America can ever prosper. Crawl back in to the Brazilian jungle you came out of, you literal orangutan.
I hope you decide to sail your grandfathers skip to the Falklands and rape some sheep, as is in the negroes nature. It would still be the whitest pussy you ever had. Give Nigel and Robert a chance for some target practice, your sole use to the world. Argentinians obsession with a few windswept islands in the Atlantic is hilarious but sad. Coincidentally its the only worthwhile contribution Argentina has made to the medical field. The MUH LAS MALVINAS sentiment in the average negro Argentinian is both an early warning sign of autism in children, and early on set Alzheimer's in adults.
Take your black hairy fingers off your keyboard, and never talk about the human species again, you mockery of our supposed shared ancestor.. No amount of olive oil and wheat flour slabbed on your face every morning will make you white. It's about as delusional of an idea as your daydreams of European heritage.
You nigger.
You make Bolivia look like a beacon of civilisation.
You are the Baltimore of South America.
Go fertilise the pampas with you and your families corpses, its the best you can hope for in life. For the first time in your life, nigger, you have a job making food for beings vastly superior to yourself. Uruguayan cattle. Coincidentally, it would be the first time an Argentinian "man" provided for a family.
Die, Diego. No one would miss you. Except for Australian Aboriginals, who now would have no one to make them look good.

Id say Spanish cus its slightly less dumb sounding
seriously portugese sounds like they talk with a gag in their mouth, i went to brazil with a brazillian girl when i was younger and she was trying to teach me some, couldnt even enunciate that shit.

Portuguese is sexy latin lover tier
Spanish is queer pool boy tier.

Spanish
>>80126510
I'm not sure of that. I think both are equaly closer.
Spanish nouns comes from the acusative (amicum, amicos => amigo, amigos) and Italian words comes from the nominative (amicus, amici => amico, amici). Both are simplified latin, in different ways.
>>80127222
But taking your example, we say amigo, not Ámigo, like it is meant sound in latin.
>>80123438
I'm not spaniard, just living here and I can say Portuguese sound retarded meanwhile spanish is acceptable.
>>80127400
I'm pretty sure in latin was amícus, with long i. Long vowels marked the strong syllabe so it sounded exactly like in italian, portugues, and spanish: a-MI-co, strength in the second syllabe.
>>80127275
CHI
>>80127730
I was just talking about the pronunciation. Á, not a.
>>80126685
But barbosa, he's right.
Italian is closest to Latin followed by (European) Portuguese, and only then Spanish.
Can't you read most Latin texts intuitively? Very few words differ, and usually the gist of a sentence is easily inferred, to us.
It's also why its easier for us to pick up Spanish than for them to learn Portuguese. It's going backwards in phonetic evolution instead of forward, and thus harder.

Romanian is so garbage. This thread is for LATIN languages. Are you guys embarrassed trying to pretend you're part of the glorious Latins? Heh, nice try kid
"Eu falo."
VS
"Yo hablo."
I think the answer is obvious.

I would use that pic of the fat ugly american saying "let me tell you which countries are white" but i dont have it
>>80128475
>that quality anime.
>>80127890
I'm not sure what you're talking about. Well in latin there was at least 10 vowels (long a, short a; long e, short e, etc.) and they also sounded different.
Castilian uses the Basque phonetics which are quite simply (only 5 vowels) so we can't really distinguish those sounds.
>>80128207
Nah Portugues is too corrupted. For example many latin words we say actor, afectar, conductor, etc., you say ator, afetar, condutor, etc.
Other than that both are dialect of old hispanic latin that took the substantives from acusative form (words ending in -o/-os and -a/as instead of -o/i and -a/ae) that's why we have more in comon than other romance languages.
>>80128860
what do you think about gallego
They are like pussy and arsehole.
You cannot realy tell which is better until you've tried them both.
>>80129065
Gallego is a dialect from an old nord hispanic latin dialect from where also spawned Portuguese, Leonese, and Asturian. It probably was the dialect of the old Suevian kingdom. That language is modernly named galaeco-portugues since Galego and Portugues are the languages that most resembles the old language today.
