Basically monotheism is a way of justifying the king or queen's power whereas despotism is a warlord who rules with threat of death by sword the monarch rules by divine right so that only makes sense if u have sedentary agriculture in a confined space (Egypt Nile River) so thats why the strongest monarchies/empires come from areas of river valleys surrounded by desert because everyone stuck in a small area and thus easy to control even without constant war which lets u get more shit done and also creates monotheism (jews came out of egypt and all that).

right but threat of the sword vs constantly fighting is why monarchies are more productive. U just need a standing army that's trained and weapons in an armory and then u don't need to constantly defend ur borders.
