It's a rule landlords have to avoid people getting too messy.

While there are issues with it, there is a reason why Scotland gets more per capita than elsewhere.
It's because we have a huge geographical area compared to our population.
This means you still need about as much infrastructure per square mile (roads and shit), but there's less people around to pay for them.
Australia has the same issue, but even worse.

My advice:
>go into a decent real ale pub (spoons is okay nowadays but the selection is dull imo)
>ask the barman about any popular ales they have on that aren't too strong
>take note of words like 'hoppy' - this'll mean it's a bit of an acquired taste usually
>avoid IPAs and stouts/porters
>ask to have a small sip of whatever catches your eye or is recommended (personally for someone who has no clue what they'd like I'd probably offer a blonde or golden, a weak standard bitter and just go from those)
>it's fine if you don't like it, just ask to try something else or get a shandy or another drink you know you like me
Remember that any decent barman will firstly always be happy giving you a small taste of any beer so that you have a drink you're happy with, and secondly offer you recommendations and should be able to tell you key things about each beer.

Scotland is like the spouse who wants to be the one who leaves the relationship but doesn't step up, standing at the exit and says 'we're leaving you this time, for good!' and England doesn't even look up from its newspaper because this shit has been going on longer than he cares .
Do you think brexit will make it more feasible to talk about race issues in the UK and actually make the government not import millions of non-whites or will the country continue in the same multicult spiral as it has before ?

Occasionally interesting when kicking Labour for being Blairite cunt scumbags.

Daily Record is legitimately the worst paper in these isles, and that's saying something.
I was posted in Germany and all the horrible little porridge wogs would kick off if the Naffi didn't have the "Daileh Rekooord" in first thing in the morning. It was like a bloody religion to them

That sounds like an odd rule for a bar to have since shandies are so popular and you don't ever actually need to have the tap touching the liquid in the glass.

Thankfully circulation is dropping like a fucking stone.
Say what you want about the SNP or Scottish Nationalism in general, it's a fucking amazing tool to highlight the establishment in Scottish society. (Because they stuck with Labour long after it was fashionable, instead of giving the SNP a chance. They share Labour's sense of entitlement.)
So you see stupid shit like Jim Murphy pedalling "Le biggest party in nearly 100 years forms the government" go unchallenged (because if you actually go back 100 years, the standard figure, you'd find that in 1928, it didn't. We got Labour when they weren't the biggest.)
In many ways I miss Scottish Labour though. Watching it die was one of the most cathartic moments in political history.
>immigrants contribute more than they take out by £5bn
By controlling immigration, we can make sure that 100% of immigrants are contributing more, and make that £5bn even bigger.

Sorry, probably should have tied this together more:
The Daily Record is a Labour mouthpiece. While making pretend overtures to the SNP now that it knows the game is up, it's still ultimately a unionist rag.
(Not that unionism isn't a respectable opinion, but the Record is a rag (Apologies in advance to rags) and the press situation in 2014 was disgraceful: a viewpoint eventually backed by 45% of the population had something like no daily national newspaper supporting it.)
And to that end, the SNP are a nice little UV-light style tool because they take all the Labour voters and policy away, leaving only Labour and her sycophants crowing at the sidelines.
>>80060879
Has the SNP practically devoured all Labours seats? I noticed the borders went Tory and the Islands LibDems but can't remember seeing many Labour in the locals
>>80060664
They might just have high standards. Guinness especially shouldn't be touching the tap nozzle when it's being poured, so that sounds really daft, but for Guinness you shouldn't reuse a glass anyway as fresh ones pour better and ensure a reliable head.

I highly doubt it. They've already started to both claim all the working classes concerned about their towns becoming Islamic or eastern europrean shitholes are racist xenophobes. I'm a barfag, I was taught and have seen online only one way to do Guinness and at no point does the tap touch either the glass or the drink.
>45 degree angle, full tap, fill 3/4 of the glass running it down the side
>stop and leave to rest
>finish vertically full tap until head reaches the top with a dome, serve
>>80061400
Fair one, she was probably just trying to get you to have a new glass and on the spot. Guinness and lager are both a lot easier to pour and serve in fresh glass.

What's wrong with Abbott?
(Speaking academically. There's a lot, but she's not exactly the kind of Blairite scum who need to be put on a rocket and fired into the sun. Thornberry was against an Iraq investigation, so yeah T-MINUS TEN SECONDS TO LAUNCH.)
De-selecting most of those who voted for Iraq would be a good heuristic for purging those who don't belong, although one'd be fucked when it comes to careerist sycophants who only got in at 2005.

Scotland says the Wales, as she departs from the true Celts, the people she wanted to be so much.
"Ay Wall," she shrugs, "I guess they're Sassenach's now, for not following my anglo-celtic-viking politics."
And, as Scotland departs from two great countries - much greater than her - a single tear rolls of her eyes as she realises how shit she is, and how she relied on England and Wales so much for support.

As of now the pound is plummeting again. It rallied to 1.30$ bur now dropped 0.5 cents expect the pound to drop 2 cents by the end of the day
>Is it time to panic yet
No. Brexitters are still in complete denial. Their view on this swings between saying it will bounce back or it will sink further and benefit our exports. But as we all know, Brexitters are economically illiterate. A few days ago they were showing the rise in FTSE100 as a sign of our success because they don't realize that index is made up of companies that get most of their revenue from foreign markets. A weak pound will not do any good to out exports because we have almost no natural resources. We rely on a strong currency to import raw material. Any competitiveness that would be gained from a drop in the pound is offset by the fact the products we manufacture will become more expensive to make.
Fun fact: if the Pound drops to 0.9 EUR (it most likely will by the time the new PM takes office) our economy will be officially smaller than Italy's.
There is also a very high chance we will experience double digit inflation. We will be the first developed economy to achieve this since the 1970s. When inflation starts to creep in and eat peoples' income, then it is time to panic because we will enter a vicious cycle of eroding income and sky-rocketing government spending/borrowing
Don't give him (You)s, lads.
