Isn't it just weird that acromegaly produces traits that are so Neanderthal-like?

Neanderthals were a species of humans that lived up to 30 000 years ago. They lived in histories most important area, and the first places to start civilization.
It appears Neanderthals could interbreed with humans in some capacity. For this reason, 1-3% of white people DNA is Neanderthal. You can measure how much % Neanderthal using DNA services like 23andme or Ancestry.
Why did pretty much all of the best technology and culture come from Neanderthal area? I don't know. The chinese did invent a lot of shit too. But it seems strange to me why Neanderthal area seems to be so historically signifigant over human history.
Maybe Neanderthal DNA makes us better able and more inclined to engage in War and conquest. Maybe it makes us more territorial.
