I don't think you understand the spirit of NS/fascism. EVERYONE is family, it IS nepotism. It's not a democracy so they can't be chosen for their politics only their performance. You also know full well that this is what happens in Democracies. Politically, Obama is a blip in what would otherwise be a string of political dynasties. People have inheritances and protect that from the benefit of wider society via legal loopholes. (a blessing of the "Democracy is more than just voting" system )

NS/fascism came about at a time of high tension and the potential for war was always there. Having a nice open transparent system wasn't an option.
Authoritarianism is the overarching name for a system. You can have meritocratic authoritarianism or nepotist or corrupt using many different forms. It's both a culture and a political system. Hence the cultural education provided at a young age to instill values.
