/pol/ and 4chan in general is becoming very mainstream, and there are no presently viable alternatives. For many years this place has been a beautiful and strange place where free speech, pseudoanonymity and the fleeting nature of content have materialized in a quite unique phenomenon that is now dying.
There will be other instances. Don't lose sleep over this or anything else. Time heals all things and puts everyone in their place. What we're living now is a very short period in the history of mankind. One that will be remembered as absolute madness.

How does a government official set up and use their own private server without knowing exactly what they're doing? Surely the first day of office someone comes up to you and says "here's your government email. Enjoy." Unless you decide to use a private server to do shady shit, you're going to use the government email. Isn't that all the evidence of motive you need to convict? There's no other reason you would avoid using a government email.
