So men basically are stripped of most of their current assets and future assets, they have their home taken from them, they have their children taken from them and their rights restricted.
Male suicide rate goes up to 11x higher than womens post divorce because so many men are stripped of literally everything and no one gives a fuck so they just end their lives because it's too hard to fight the state.
With a 43% divorce risk in the UK you'd have to be an idiot to knowingly walk into that situation. It doesn't matter how well you pick your wife, since women initiate 70-80% of divorces, what matters is how much better than you can she do? Yes and no. The women's sexual value go down but not the men. The women don't care if you are a good father or not The taxpayers pay for you kids if you are a single mother. Well you're still subject to the family courts and not much changes there, you can lose access to your kids while being forced to pay child support which means you lose a huge chunk of your income (minimum £50,000 across 18 years)
There's no alimony payments however there is a law being passed through the house of commons right now that says if you've been living together for more than (er I think 1 year? maybe 2) and you have a child together, then an equivalent of alimony will be owed upon separation.
This is exactly what we'd expect to see, modern couples avoiding marriage to avoid the legal issues and the laws simply changing to favour women because they have to get paid somehow or other.
