Hookup culture as well as r/K selection. Younger people these days are less interested in a long-lasting relationships and more interested in sex & status when compared to previous generations. Honestly? I think it's because of our work culture. It's a lot like Japan - we work and slave ourselves to death - how do you expect to have time to make a kid, let alone take care of the kid. Plus it's more typical that the woman works as well, so she always comes home pissy and not about to screw around for baby-making.
Of course, white people are the responsible type - so it's obvious that is the ultimate issue. It was normal that a job was 40 hours, now 45-60 is expected in lots of places.
