That's pretty true I think; most Chinese immigrants aren't good venture capitalists like those on mainland China. I think it's a learned behavior in the Chinese American community; you don't make it big in America by throwing money around and taking high risks when you're fresh off the boat. Most of the established Chinese families (over 200k annual salary families) take safer opinions like professional degrees in medicine or tech.
