Why are Democrats held to a different standard than Republicans?

The media and the DNC are engaged in a highly incestual relationship, allowing the DNC to get away with having no standards at all. And there's the point that it has come down to the fact that I think the general populous just does not expect any standards from the DNC.Obama could go on TV at this moment, and kill and eat a new born child and a puppy, and his approval wouldn't even be influenced.
Republicans, on the other hand, are daily lynched by their own standards, which is a deliberate tactic of the left, along with most the RNC never coming to the aid of someone, where as the DNC will erect tower and an army of lawyers to keep a seated dem in power.

Democrats use the media as a propaganda arm by being experts at spinning themselves as the victim when in reality they're just manipulative little bitches. Luckily the Republicans have just about lost every social battle so now hopefully Dems will have to compete at economics and foreign policy which are not their strong suits.
