First sentence:

>Right-wing politics hold that social stratification and social inequality are inevitable, natural, normal, or desirable

What the fuck
>>
>>79563036

Think more about it. Gauss is everywhere. Income is normally distributed like IQ and height.

Capitalism is perfect. Whenever someone tries to rig Gauss, Gauss fucks him up.
>>
Individual differences between humans exist such as intellect, physical ability, work ethic etc etc

If you control for equality of opportunity, which any decent conservative will value, you still won't get equality of outcome because people are different.

And this is fine, trying to impose equality is not only totalitarian but also doomed to fail.
>>
>>79563036
This is accurate. What is your objection to it?
>>
>>79563036
it's fairly accurate though - at least when contrasted with left wing politics
>>
>>79563278
Income is not normally distributed. IQ and height are normally distributed. Income and wealth follow a power law distribution (driven by positive feedback/exponential behavior).
>>
>>79563036

Life isn't fair m8
>>
>>79563036
That's pretty much true though. Even libertarians, the supposedly "nice" right wingers, believe that inequality is inevitable/normal due to a variety of factors that are either the fault of the individual or an inherent trait which no amount of reform could ameliorate.
>>
>>79563036

>Right-wing politics hold that social stratification and social inequality are inevitable, natural, normal, or desirable

What's wrong with this sentence?
>>
>>79563036
Right wing is garbage
>>
>>79564444
You claim to be the religious wing yet Christ and God are against Darwinism of any sort, social or otherwise, 100%. Then you break it even more by ignoring give to Caesar that which is his and to God that which is His
>>
>>79563036
>social stratification and social inequality are inevitable, natural, normal, or desirable

this is true

do you think that the natural order is wrong?
>>
>>79564578
modern Christianity is communism in drag
>>
>>79564578
U saying conservatives don't pay taxes?
>>
>>79564662
Natural is a fallacy, so yes
>>
>>79564408

This is interesting. Anyway it looks like a blend of the two. It looks like if negative income would exist, it would form a normal distribution.
>>
>>79565168
>Natural is a fallacy

no it isnt you autist
>>
>>79565168

It can be a fallacy, it doesn't mean it always is.
>>
>>79565278
Everything is natural you retard, conversely you believe all forms of intervention are unnatural and should be living in a cave, which you clearly aren't
>>
>>79565440

If you're going to do something unnatural you should have a reason for it. What is your reason for creating equality other than butthurt about people being better than you?
>>
>>79565199
It's not really the lack of negative income that drives the behavior, it's the positive feedback (think compound interest, the rich get richer, etc.). So Bill Gates can be a million times wealthier than another dude, but no one can be even 10 times taller than someone else. If you're interested in this, you could read Taleb's Black Swan or Thiel's Zero to One.

Equality is equally good for everyone, I don't need to explain the logic behind the idea, it's fine if you disagree but you should at least be able to understand? Your right wing memeing makes you sound like uou can't even conceive of the concept, as if you wouldn't try to create the most equal world possible if you had the power to. Instead you can't even conceptualise it? Really? A bucket of crabs is better because you might be the one crab that makes it out?
>>
>>79566161
>Equality is equally good for everyone

no it isn't, why should productive people be held down by parasites?
>>
>>79566161

What the fuck? Equality is the bucket of crabs.

Some conservatives try to out-liberal the liberals.

The problem is that anything in the Western world but the most anodyne center-right positions is taboo in mainstream society (even if many people secretly agree with the more right-wing ones). So conservatives have to adopt these ridiculous dog-whistles and shibboleths in order to conceal their actual positions and beliefs (the "religious liberty" one about gay marriage is a good example). Most people, especially liberals, can see it for what it is which makes right-wingers not only look like evil racist Nazis, but disingenuous ones at that.

Most Americans are so easily intimidated by accusations of racism, sexism, or whateverism that they try to reverse course and instead desperately try to paint liberals as the sexist racists (they often are in their personal lives, but its irrelevant as far as their stated political beliefs go). Few conservatives are capable of arguing with liberals outside of a liberal socio-political context, and at the end of the day they too bow down before the cult of Equality, just as their blue state counterparts do. That's why mainstream conservativism and the Republican Party in America is useless.

Is there an equality we can aim for in your minds where we don't make it shit for everyone, but rather help people who have it worse?
>>
>>79566392
no
>>
>>79566392
A strong welfare, but not strong enough to punish you for being productive.
Somewhat like the system we have in Sweden, but with lower taxes on shit like selling your house and winning the lotto.
>>
>>79564439
>Even libertarians, the supposedly "nice" right wingers, believe that inequality is inevitable/normal due to a variety of factors that are either the fault of the individual or an inherent trait which no amount of reform could ameliorate.

I'd say I agree with that? Don't you?
>>
>>79566392

There's a distinction between equality and helping the less fortunate.

You can live in a society that's mired in abject poverty and destitution where everybody is equal, and you can live in a society that is enormously unequal in terms of wealth, but where most people maintain a decent, even luxurious existence compared to the vast majority of societies throughout human history.

Nothing about charity and helping those who can't help themselves requires equality.
>>
>79566392

Yeah, the American System.
>>
>>79566161

> Equality is equally good for everyone.

Equality doesn't exist.
