I liked a lot of the episodes. Don't read too much about him marrying that lady who had 2 kids already.
In RL though, that actor says a really stupid (to me) Anti 2nd amendment being writing at a time when all people had access to was muzzle loading muskegs.

Unless you're model tier, if you're over 45 and want to get married to a decent looking woman, a woman with kids is basically all you have left. So either marry young, lower your standards, or take very good care of yourself so you can marry someone 20 years younger.
