So in the ASEAN, you have to be a German Doctor to think about working in Spain, and vice versa. Basically, the ASEAN avoids all the pitfalls of political correctness to make their economic union more effective. Where-as the EU is pretty much fucked for ideological reasons (like a Greek can be just as productive as a German. This is what caused the crisis in the first place.)
