It doesn't take up much of the time except when it's harvesting/regrowing, I usually just water the backyard for some minutes every now and then. The other yards have sprinklers. When it's harvesting it can take up to 3 afternoons of just harvesting the potatoes since you have to be careful not to destroy them with the hoe while still swinging hard. Replanting is the most boring part imo but it's faster than harvesting.
If I really had to guess, on usual months (no harvest or planting), idk around 20 hours total? The rain helps.
My favourite part is tending to the chickens, I love messing around with them (disorienting them or sneaking some drops of alcohol on their water) that takes like 20m daily (10 if I just get to business)
