Seeing as I speak three languages fluently and have a college degree from a European university (not some diploma milll like most of US universities are) I'm probably better educated than you are.
Nobody said it was all white men, but it was the vast majority seeing as illegal US immigrants outnumbered locals 10 to 1. Most Mexicans remained loyal to Mexico (see Ignacio Zaragoza, a Tejano that fought against the French acouple of decades after the Texas robbery) and suffered discrimination in the coming years despite promises by the US government that they would become equal citizens.
