As a leftest, I cannot overstate how delusional the majority of these "antifascists" are in their belief that they will win a street war. Do they work out? No. Do they train? No. Do they coordinate outside of social media posting to "shut it down?" No.
They rely on numbers, which would be fine if they were trying to institute democratic change rather than violent suppression of people they disagree with. The problem is that they have no idea how to escalate violence beyond simply punching strangers in the back of the head. They rely on the anonymity of crowds and the tacit support of police in order to inflict violence. In an actual street fight, where these things were irrelevant, they would lose. The short interview, and the role she seemed to fullfill in the demonstration set me straight against this notion however, Miss Felarca gave the image she was one of the leaders of the protestors, and expessed very violent and closed-minded
opinions, saying things like "If they not share my beliefs...they are not welcome here, we will drive them out" "they (the protestors) never should've gotten the permit to begin with" "we will meet them with militant force"
Now we where dealing here with a right wing group and I'm sure Miss Felarca had good intentions, and her emotions ran high, but as a black (but) university graduate person myself I know a thing or two about racism and facism, and fighting fire with a bigger fire will only make the world burn.
The notion of a middle-school principle associated, no, leading a violent protest group, be it with the intention to spread diversity, worries me greatly, and I worry for the children under her, as breaking down discource is never the answer.
I implore you to research the role of Miss Felarca in these groups, and if her views and methods are handed down to her students.
Our choice for your school is now very much up for debate, and I'm sure more parents would like to know what theyr kids are getting taught at your school, I will relate my findings to some parents we befriended while visiting your school and area, and look for theyr comment aswell, but I'd like to implore you again,
only with clear, honest discource can we move forward in a secular, free society, it is not neccesary to become the beast in order to slay it.
I again thank you for your time and hope to soon recieve news of actiions taken, either of Miss Felarca's own accord explaining her role in these groups and theyr inpact on her work, or formal action by you.
