I love classical art. I think all art should be like this. I see no beauty in art when it doesn't elevate reality and make the normal supernatural.

Ye, we were under Denmark for quite a while, but the painting just struck a chord. I think it's a combination of the reverence of the soldiers fighting for what we're currently giving away, and the flags representing our nations.

You can see the Norwegian flag hanging over the street as well. It's one of my favorites. Men marching back home in what would seem to be a triumph, hailed and welcomed by loved ones.

I really don't understand the attraction to anime. Sure cartoons were great when I grew up. I did watch the original Transformers. But as an adult, all that interests me is history of culture and wars. It amazes me that people look to be entertained by nonsense when there are 3000 years of history study and appreciate.
I got a lot more paintings in my disorganized heap, but I'll save the bump count for contributors and commentary.
