The EU literally said they won't accept Scotland today. They're officially announcing it tomorrow.
Scotland is a black hole of debt and yearly deficits. There's no way the EU would take them without decades of economic growth.

One of the major points that led to Scotland staying in the UK during the last referendum was due to the UK's membership in the EU.
