I'm Scottish born of a long line of Scots. I'm just on the border of being a millennial, born in 82.
Nearly everyone I know supports Scottish independence, they post their "no borders" hippy garbage on normiebook.
I remember watching braveheart and trainspotting as a teenager, I remember slagging off the English, our bigger twin brother that we rip on as they do us. We boo them in the football, we spat in each other's food when the other isn't looking and generally take the piss out off ourselves.
But why the fuck do people want to tear our union apart just to get our independence and then give it to Belgium and Germany.

Most EU states want Britain to leave quickly, weeks not years, this is led by Hollande and Renzi as well as the EU commission. They want Britain out quick, and then force them to accept really shit terms for the EEA (or maybe even flat out refuse to allow them access for a period to send a message...)
The Germans want the process to be slower, but only so they have more time to convince manufacturers to relocate and the City of London to move to Frankfurt. Any delay in securing access to the EEA works to their advantage, even if it means the uncertainty in the markets.
