This, in all honesty.

A degree does not make you educated and being working class or old should not make you inelligible to vote. I personally wanted to see the UK remain, but non-voting youth and old people that exerccised their democratic right to vote led us to where we are now.

The working classes and old felt disengaged with the government enough to do this, so there's a reason for it. This referendum is democracy in its purest form and the majority of voters, however slight, made its voice heard.

The only people that deserve shit flung at them is those that didn't vote. i.e. the 25% that either thought the result was certain, or just too lazy to vote. If they didn't vote, they have no right to complain.

Responding is easy. Remain saw its strongest support among professionals and managers. This is because their careers are the most mobile and least subject to foreign competition. It's amazing. The morning of the referendum, you couldn't move for all the remainers in my generation encouraging others to vote, regardless of their choice. They really thought they had it in the bag.

But the minute they lost, they all started ranting about how old people don't deserve a vote, that everyone else is an idiot, and that racism is the reason our country is falling apart.

Your country makes 2,4 trillion USD GDP. Germany makes more.

Our recent bailout was 8 billion euros. All of our bailouts can be grossly exaggerated to 300 billion.

It takes less than a 12th of your economy to bail out completely. Yet you and the EU insist on bailing out our banks over and over again, while our country's GDP relies on taxes.

If ONLY we had 2, JUST 2 factories in our country, one owned by Airbus and one by Volkswagen, contributing to our GDP, we would be out of the memorandum in roughly a year, because we would finally have a working economy.

Yet German and British companies build their factories in Turkey. TURKEY FOR FUCKS SAKE

Actually, a degree does make you educated - on paper. What it does not guarantee is a high level of intelligence. This is what liberals conveniently omit when they discuss the "educated" especially when the average entry requirements for British universities is at an all time low. They also do not discuss what degrees these "educated" actually have, or even what grade those people achieved.

Remember, an G grade GCSE is still classed a pass FUCKING LOL

The speaker was spouting off about how it was misogynist that the animation industry still had more men employed within it. I asked if it was considered misandrist that teaching had 80% women. He said no, because men don't want to be teachers as much as women. So I countered with "Maybe women don't want to be animators as much as men, then." Then he called me sexist and told me to leave. I did so while many in the audience congratulated him and booed me.

If there are £10 trillion worth of assets in the UK, and 70% (say) of that is owned by people in the UK, then since the pound dropped by around 10% it means that the UK population has lost about £700 billion of wealth. That's not even counting market crashes (~$2 trillion in world stock markets) and the inevitable property crash (which is arguably a good thing).

In the end the UK public alone have lost over £1 trillion.

Sharp divisions along the lines of age, wealth and education among those who voted in Thursday’s referendum have been revealed in polling by the Conservative peer Michael Ashcroft.

The deep differences between the pro and anti-Brexit camps include:

While 73% of voters under 25 wanted to stay in the EU, 60% of over 65s opted to leave. Remain was the preferred stance of 62% of 25 to 34-year-olds, narrowing to 52% in the 35 to 44 range, but Leave took a majority among 45 to 54-year-olds with 56% backing, expanding to 57% in the 55 to 64 bracket.
While Remain won the backing of 57% of the top earning AB social group, Leave was supported by 64% of C2DEs. A clear majority of university educated voters went for Remain. Most people whose education ended at secondary school level or earlier supported Brexit.
Among private renters and those with mortgages, a majority (55% and 54%) voted to remain. Those who owned homes outright voted to leave by 55% to 45%. Around two thirds of council and housing association tenants voted to leave.
White voters split 53% to 47% in favour of withdrawal, while 67% of Asians and 73% of black people opted for Remain.
Religious divides were also highlighted with 58% of those describing themselves as Christian voting for Brexit, while 70% of Muslims wanted to stay in the EU.
The full results, based on a survey of 12,369 people on referendum day, are here.

Wouldn't say its the 'upper class' (although they are firmly within the EU camp), but more a division amongst metropolitan areas and, for lack of a better word, 'traditional' communities.

If you look at a map of where leave won in England, it was in areas where the local British population has dwindled past 75%, some as low as 35%(ahem, London). These places don't care about the UK, because they never leave their city bubble. Going to a place like Stoke would be like visiting a foreign country to them.

The British working class were taken for fools by the Labour party and ignored by Tories. The former thought they would always be good little sheep and vote red, no matter what, and the Tories thought nothing of them. When UKIP started surging, it did so in places that were considered traditional working class-Labour heartlands. People are fed up of the current political parties which only represent the views of the metropolitan areas, not the rest of the country.

Look at the demonisation by the metropolitan class. All on TV its about denigerating, looking down, sneering at working class concerns. You can't tell us that 'everyone' can be British, WE are British. And if we are proud of that, we are shouted down as racists. You can't tell us our culture amounts to 'tolerance', and import thousands of migrants that compete for jobs, schools and housing in OUR neighbourhoods. The political and city class of people kept telling us to eat shit and enjoy it. Well we won't and now its time we stop being ashamed of being ourselves. The metropolitan class is far outnumbered and they best remember that.

Young voters vote stay because the media message is the Europe is good for them. How and why? I bet they can't tell you other than parrot 'jobs and travel', whatever that means.

People bitching about older people voting for leave are letting their mask slip. They have contempt for the democratic system. Plus, it's not like these people are dying tomorrow or anything. They want to give their children and grandchildren a chance to forge their own way. Sad part is, most kids have no ideals beyond indulging themselves and being distracted by media.

The old vote for their children and grandchildren, who are not yet old enough to vote. The young vote for themselves, and are short-sighted in doing so.

Education != Intelligence. The educated are more likely to be SJWs, or employers who benefit from cheap labour that comes from EU economic migrants.

The poor are mostly workers who want to be paid a fair amount, and thus are against excessive economic migration to the UK driving down the value of their labour. The rich don't give a fuck about the poor.

Source? Chavs are mostly unemployed because of the excess of cheap labour in the UK.

Another point; Leaving the EU will encourage the free market to bloom, which the rich are against. By leaving, the UK can get rid of nonsense regulations on imposed upon them by Eurocrats they did not elect. This enables a freer market, which large corporations who thrive off of state granted monopolies dislike. Look at how barely any corporations are endorsing libertarians for the US elections. Those large corporations can only stay the size they are because the Government supports them, and the Government supports them because they are funded by the corporations. This is why many UK parties freaked out spread lies about Brexit.

Basically they want us to keep holding referenda until they win. In their view, 50 nos and then a yes is still a yes. The best thing we can do is ignore them.
