They're actually more human than most other race if you want to be technical. Every other race has been interbred with previous species such as Neanderthal and Denisovan while Africans are 100% homo sapien.

That's because dogs are what we call them. Objectively there's no such thing as a 'dog' or a 'human'. These are labels we have come up with and assigned to various animals.
