I think this is the main fault of the first-past-the-post voting system we have, people don't respect their vote or take it seriously, especially when we suddenly have a rare vote where every vote really does count like a referendum.

Leave won by 1.1 or so million votes.
550000 or so votes would be needed to flip to change the outcome.

That many people did not vote for just joking or regretting sake.
Probably only a few thousand and maybe some more who were scared by the economic crash.

it pretty much says that cameron agreed to do the voting hoping that most would vote to stay, the cameron there's saying "ill do it, they cant be too dumb" but that then the voting was mostly to leave and cameron shat the pants, it then talks about the cons it could have like the loss of treaties and benefits, country relations and being an impulse for other countries to leave the EU

>>It was strange atmosphere sitting on the train this morning in London during rush hour. It was eerily quiet. The whole of London practically voting to remain, there was definitely an air of defeat, and severe disappointment. I saw a woman crying on the bus. This truly is evil triumphing over good. And there is definetely a very obvious divide in the country, with the voting ratio almost 50:50. I expect a lot of tension in the next coming years.
Pride in London is tomorrow, so a bit of positivity in such a shocking time. Though, as a volunteer, I am slightly afraid of tensions. But we will stand in solidarity, we will not go down without a fight.

I think a re-vote could tip it in remain's favour as there were a lot of no shows, leave would likely lose heart, and since people know understand the potential risks and how much effort is involved they might change.

But then that just seems to be trading one unfair decision (52% vs 48%) with another (49% vs 51%). And it's definitely not going to happen anyway.

Every major competitor to Europe is thrilled at the dissolution of the EU.

The Russians are thrilled to be able to conquer new Eastern European countries. The Crimea, South Ossetia and half the Ukraine were just the start.

The Chinese are thrilled at the economic concessions each former EU nation will have to make now that they are competing with their white neighbors as opposed to competing with the orientals.

The muslims are thrilled because nationalist politics reinforce their narrative of "the west vs islam" which increases radicalization of muslims.

You should stop acting as if a handful of people on twitter actually matter, doing that is just playing in the hands of the media. It's incredibly easy to generate twitter outrage and make it seem like a big thing, but it's not. Despite the popularity of social media, the average citizen doesn't microblog all their opinions continually throughout the day. Most people just do their daily grind and hang out with their family and friends, and don't engage in political social media.

You're giving it legitimacy by constantly obsessing over it

They expect it on Day One despite the fact we've not left the fucking EU yet. The process doesn't actually begin until Article 50 is enacted and even then 72% of member states have to agree.

Juncker said he wants us gone right now and Germany says they'll recommend the UK as a trading partner for the EU meaning access to the single market and the only ruling is that Britain still complies with the EU environmental laws.

When Article 50 is enacted. We can literally rip apart any laws and regulations they forced on us and keep ones that work for ourselves.

June 2018 is the tentative official leave but Juncker says the EU cannot stand 2 years of this and wants us gone quick due to the domino effect taking place. Sounds like they will comply with any and all requests we make if we leave by next year.

Exactly. The "Remain" turnout was a lot lower than expected. Leave turnout was higher than expected bolstered by a huge white male and female voterbase who got their revenge on a union that forgot all about them in the 2008 crash.

THEY failed themselves. I'm laughing at the cucks who thought Remain was 100% guaranteed. The Markets stumbled heavily because every kike merchant put their money into Remain on Tuesday and Wednesday due to polls saying Remain will win.

They will recover quickly and already are.

Look at pic related. See the huge drop from 10th-14th June thats when polls put Leave at 10-11% ahead in polls. The false flag happened not long after. It was lower then, than the actual referendum result end day. It only looks bad because it was all done at once.

http://news.sky.com/story/1717150/germany-warns-of-brexit-domino-effect

>The German finance ministry strategy paper expresses concern that the UK's historic vote may trigger a Brexit domino effect across Europe, according to the German newspaper Die Welt.

>It recommends that the EU enters into negotiations aimed at making the UK an "associated partner country" for the remaining 27 nations.

>As it stands, the UK's exit may cause Germany's contribution to the EU's budget to rise by 3bn euros (£2.44bn) a year, the paper adds.

To avoid a domino effect the logic is to punish you as hard as possible, not saying ah it's fine, here, get the most valuable we have for free, good job on the brexit. You can't be this deluded can you? And everybody who thinks that the pound drop and following recovery is scary - it will take years for your foolish decision to be actually felt, 2-3 yrs and loss of jobs on large scale as well as devaluation of your currency will start, everything happening quick in terms of financial instability is never lasting, the real issues come slow and they come to stay. I don't understand what the big deal is. Can't you still travel anywhere with a passport?

The market downturn is just a knee jerk reaction because people didn't expect it to happen. Give it a month and the pound will be back to where it was.

I doubt banks are just going to up and leave London, it would be too expensive and the financial market is already well established there.

Waking up at eight I couldn't fucking believe it either.

It's more that people were so fucing sure that they'd vote remain that they thought they'd have a laugh and vote to leave.
Because they never teach the fucking voting process at school over here.

As for travel it's more that we once could enjoy going to anywhere in the EU for a holiday without paying much.
Starting a new life was far eaisier too since all you had to do was choose a place and stay.
Now we'll need a visa.

I don't understand how that's changed though, that was sort of my point. You can still go wherever you want for a holiday.

guys which district had the highest leave vote?

I want to pray for them before I go to sleep.
>>
>>78589344
exactly, they will try to force another vote.
>>
I feel like the main reason why these people "regret" voting leave is because of the guilt trip that many Remainers are propagating.
>>
>>78572474
How can anyone be this dumb? Obviously leaving the EU would be bad for the economy in the short term. The Bank of England even said months before the referendum that we'd have at least a quarter-long recession before stabilizing again.

These fucking muppets are looking at the scary headlines and are failing to see that this is what's best for the long term both economically and socially. Fuck.

Yes, along with the fact people seriously think that Brexit is going to cause an economic meltdown and depression. It's like when you buy a new pair of shoes and they feel stiff. They just have a bit of breaking in to do, which really doesn't take long.

When will people understand that all political decisions that have an impact on world economics immediately create volatility in the market that result in extremes in increases and decreases of value?

The market will level out. The only thing that had happened to the pound is speculation that won't last long as the world gains confidence in britains ability to produce goods or services without the EU shoving it's dick in their money hole.

This is actually an interesting tactic on the part of the left.

Make it look like everyone regrets it and wants another referendum.

Doubt it will work, but it's interesting.

Wake me up when NATO is dissolved. The most Russia can hope for is better relationship with some of the european countries instead of the hostility of the EU as a whole.

Imagine that your state has an own currency and trades a lot with other states tax free. Now suddenly your state currency will devaluate slowly and when you go on vacation in other states you can't buy as much as earlier. At the same time your state will have to pay taxes on almost 2/3 of it's total trade volume. Let's put a flat rate tax of 15% on your for ex 100 billion trade billion. Now your state has less money which leads to less jobs and worse standard of living. At the same , less tourists from your neighboring states come as they now have to go through visa applications which is annoying. This again leads to less income for the locals and ergo again - less jobs and a worse living standard. And so on and so on, these are just basic effects letting aside corporations (job creators) leaving you as your state now is isolated from tax benefits and therefore they look for a better regulated place etc.

Going down to my polling station there was an old woman and a man talking about how they weren't even going to bother voting since "we're obviously going to stay in".

Also, fuck those Remain faggots saying that they're "being forced to leave the EU"; if you love the EU so much, move to an EU country. You voted and you knew full well that you could lose, now that you've lost, deal with the consequences that you have been aware of for months.

Liberals are literally those spoiled kids that brag about how their stronger than you and you think their just joking and that its just a phase but then they feel like they actually are more dominant and start talking shit about you and punching you silly until you get annoyed and punch them in the face and then they start crying like a fucking toddler.

Unless there's at least 20 Million signatures agreeing to a revote, it's not happening.
Even if there were 20 Million signatures, it wouldn't mean shit if they were all the people that voted Remain (not that you could verify that fact).
>>
What ever happens now just fucking happens.
We voted, made our bed and in two years we'll have to fucking lie in it if we don't get out sooner.
Scotland will certainly be leaving, more shit to come.

At the end of the day we have a little time to actually fucking start the process of leaving and that gives us time to get our shit together.
At the very fucking least people should start thinking of what we're actually going to do now.
Apparently we're getting eyed up by other countires that want to trade with us. Why the fuck not begin negotiations?

>Scotland will be leaving.
I can't wrap my head around why people think this.
They cannot just decide this. The UK Parliament decides whether they should have a referendum to leave, they are not going to get another one for years and years and years.
