About 10 years ago I had to do exams in highschool in which I had to debate with people and the subject was exactly this; oppose to Turkey joining the EU, whereas the other person would have to debate why they should join the EU. To me it now feels so ironic that this will actually happen, it is a major deja vu to my finals.

In case of Germany it doesn't matters, since they full of Turks for decades, but in case of anybody else, Germany doesn't cares. If EU wasn't bunch of migrating bullshit and stuck to product trade agreements between countries it might have worked. But you know those EU folk, they just want to import more cheap labour.
