Not everyone who watches anime fits the textbook definition of a weeaboo. Nearly every weeaboo by textbook definition ends up being a left winger (see Tumblr, any US high school) because they think that watching nip cartoons and wearing shirts with moonrunes on them makes them look foreign and interesting.
