If youre gonna pull the show card, in the books its evident that Roose despises Ramsey and uses him as a heir trump card. Roose is pretty much the superior one and would never get killed by his fuckwit bastard.
Besides that Ramsey is not a strategist, Im not sure if he even knows how to fight. All he ever did was torture the dickless twat and kill women, also managed to trick and kill some northerners because nobody expected him to betray them. He's got low cunning, which is useless now when everyone knows what a sperg he really is.
