Apart from the pathetic way in which they handled their economy and home front, their huge flaw was prioritising tactics over strategy. This of course allowed them to get their vaunted 50:1 kill counts in select battles that kiddies on /pol/ like to reference so much, but it also led to them losing entire armies pointlessly.
