Why do people who tend to be more educated tend to be more Socialist/collectivist?
>>
>>78192980
Where? What kind of education? In what way and to what degree?
>>
Schools have quotas of minorities they have to fill. They also are forced to give less test and more emphasis on homework because statistically women do better under those circumstances.
>>
Indoctrination.

It's like asking why people who grew up visiting mosques are more often muslim.
>>
>>78192980
That sure is a bar graph.

Blacks and women.

Why are naturally smarter people, regardless of education, more attracted to small-state ideologies?

>>

>"""""""""educated"""""""""
>>
Because the left is mildly utopian, and this appeals more to the educated, even if its impossible to attain
>>
Because Universities are required to take in minorities and women through quotas. Many of them are shamed into believing in liberal ideals, with many leftists claiming that they are sexist or racist if they follow any right wing ideals or politicians. It's also because collectivism and left wing ideals sound good, but in practice they don't work and not everyone studies in the fields that would tell them that those systems don't work in practice. When you say educated, you have to think about what field they studied. Someone who took gender studies could be argued to be more educated than someone who didn't go to college, but if they believe in the lies of the class I would argue that their intelligence is lower than others
>>
>>78192980
Because most Liberals live in middle and upper-middle class bubbles and have no real world experience outside of them. I mean believe me, I'd have no problem with socialism if it was restricted to people in my upper-middle class white suburb full of hard working and good people, but I don't want any part in socialism when I know it will be going towards countless niggers and other shitskins to sit on their asses all day and contribute nothing.

Many liberals think the people that live in their middle class and upper-middle class suburbs are like the people who live everywhere else in the country.

That's why democratic socialism works in many mostly homogeneous western and northern European countries, but I can't wait to see it start to fail as shitskins their increase in number.
>>
>intelligence
What does that even mean? How is it measured?
>>
>>78192980
What does it mean to be "conservative" or "liberal" on that chart?

I was and still am socially liberal, but I took an abrupt about face in my 20s with regards to fiscal issues, in that I went from a filthy socialist to someone who believes in personal responsibility.

When I was an adolescent, I was very liberal. But over time, I realized the failings of it as an ideology just as I had already done so for pure conservatism. I'm not sure of the context of this graph, but to me a range of 95-105 IQ doesn't tell the whole story, either.

Intelligent people understand that the best way to prosper is to work together. They are also usually less selfish, since they don't spend their time constantly "living in the present" and thinking simple thoughts revolving mostly about their own happiness.

Where a stupid man thinks "niggers are often criminals, they should be thrown out", a smart man thinks "if we work to integrate and educated these people over the course of hundreds of years, they will reach the same level of civility as white people, since genetically they are divergent only by a fraction of a percent".

Basically we see the big picture and have bigger, more long-scale ambitions.

And how the hell is 106 "high" anyway. Bump it up to 120-130 and it might be more even.
>>
>>78192980
By "more educated" you mean "college/university educated"

And colleges and universities produce left wing students because their professors, agendas, and curricula are all heavily tinged with left wing biases. Left wing ideas originate in the ivory towers of universities, where theories can be created, disseminated, and adopted as axiomatic truths without ever actually having been tested. So is it any wonder more college kids are liberal?

3. “The most fundamental fact about the ideas of the political left is that they do not work. Therefore we should not be surprised to find the left concentrated in institutions where ideas do not have to work in order to survive.”

Because teachers are more socialist/collectivist and the longer you spend listening to people with that belief on all sides of you, it's harder and harder to shrug it off.

And teachers are more socialist because it's shitty pay and a shitty job so the only reason you do it is because you feel it's 'worth it.'

And the only people that consider taking a shitty job with shitty pay because they think they're helping the world are socialist/collectivist types.

People who have an education have a pretentiousness about public policy. Because of their moderate skill in their respective field they feel that they understand the nature of their industry far better than the general public. They believe that if they were put in charge of the economy among people like themselves that everything would be much better. Socialism has some good merits in the category of making yourself feel good. "Yeah of course we should help others. Of course we should give to the poor, give to single mothers, and of course we should make sure that blacks are able to get jobs in this (not) racist society." Socialism doesn't work historically. It only works in homogeneous societies and, these days, there aren't many of those still around. In the end, socialism is a feel-good ideology, and doesn't work in practice

Pretty simple. Idiots view people on the surface ("nigger", "lazy homeless bum", "stacey") while educated people have more complex causal models for the people they meet, allowing them to rationalize away the disgusting surface-nature of these people and view them as a "human" who merely fell victim to unfortunate circumstances. When it comes to empathy, the less intelligent only think of those around them, their family or community, and rely on religion to tell them what's right and wrong. Intelligent people empathise more with those outside of their social group and those with differing viewpoints. But then of course their ability to act on this empathy is knowledge not intelligence, and that's where they fail. This model of course has nothing to do with the likes of 4chan where intelligent people lack empathy and are therefore more logical in their approach.

It all comes down to consequences, and how much fear you can tolerate.

No one wants to die.

We all find different ways of avoiding it.

Some people live closer to death, and these people are forced to become "more" aware of the consequences of their actions and whether or not it will lead them to death, while some people live far away from death, and are not forced to make life and death decisions every day.

The latter tend to be liberals and the former tend to be conservatives. They each have their own heroes and their own cowards, but from my perspective, which is somewhere in between, it's the people who are farthest removed from life-and-death decisions that are more likely to be cowards, and much more likely to be detached from reality (the consequences of their actions) than those who work in high-stakes jobs.

What's interesting about this perspective, is that the "fear-mongering" conservatives now appear less fearful, as they live closer to the border of life and death, whereas the "peace-loving" liberals appear more fearful, as the live the farthest away from it.

These studies have been done over and over and over and over again to the point where they don't mean anything for the simple fact that you can't tell the difference between the ones doing an actual neutral study and those moving a political agenda to make the "other party" feel bad for doing supporting his own beliefs.

There has been post about stadistics that show a better IQ from conservatives than liberals.

And if we take this into an historical perspective, were nazis idiotic? Because there was an entire country follwing national socialism from start to finish, was conservative 1960 America dumb? Because if I recall this well there was a space race and everything.

So, no, people more educated don't tend to be socialist in fact let me add something here.

Socialism->comunism, was supossed to happen in industrial societies, as Marx dared to predict, since most oppresion to the workers happened there and they were concentrated into cities, could be closer... etc. But then, as a surprise for everyone, it wasn't in any industrialized country but instead a pseudo-feudal state, which corresponds to Russia, where the first revolution started and actually ended in some trully faithfull and capable trial for actual comunism.

Let me say this again, the illiterate plebeian mases of Russia, were, as a complete surprise, the only ones who actually pushed socialism to a point were comunism could be tried.

So no, my portuguese friend, education doesn't have anything to do with ideology. Not even economical class(lower wages can vote protectionist/conservative policies) or sex(women voted for conservatism the first time they could vote here in Spain).

Not that anyone will actually read this wall of garbage but here I go.

Generally they fall into 2 categories.

1. Educated from lower/middle income
Basically people with a minuscule amount of knowledge believe themselves to be experts on basically everything.
Oversimplification:
>I know ____
>no one in my entire neighborhood knew ____
>I'm smarter than most of the world!

They then take this incredibly inflated ego that their education has given them and use it to justify their belief that they know what's best for everyone now.
Nanny state ahoy!

2. Educated from upper income
I've already grown bored of this so super generalization time.

They think of us as peasants fit only to tend their fields.
There's also a chart that I can't find for the life of me, it shows how much people think they know on a subject vs how much they actually know, I think it illustrates it all very well.

And so on, this can be contained to the typical /pol/posting against niggerism, but when this shit extends to other kind of things like ecologist, liberals, rich/poor... is something that contaminates the board with an unique theme making it look worse than it does now.

In fact, I preferred the time when people were wanking off to swastikas, at the very leas they were talking about a higher spectrum of things instead of being so specific over something so stupid.

And do what you want m8, I can't force you to read anything. Just take into account, that OP is spreading shitposting cancer. which is fine but only in low ammounts.

THE EDUCATION SYSTEM m8. Are you blind?

>And i am for free speech. My most strong opinion, behind racism
So brave. Good thing it's behind racism. We still want to restrict the speech of "racists" and other ideological ne'er-do-wells, after all. We'll have to slowly expand the scope of what we, the government, deem racist, of course. This is progress. Eventually criticizing the government will be considered racist. Obama was a trial run of that.

Because Marxists have seized the academy. They weed out right wingers, who are then confined to the fringes of society, and lavish attention and resources on their lefty students. The end result is that left wing nuts advance, leading to the situation you pointed out.

Correlation does not equal causation. Also I feel as if these statistics are not true or perhaps the people on either end of the political spectrum were chosen selectively. I would say that I am moderately right wing, however my IQ is roughly 125 over the past few times I have been tested; how ever I'm not attempting to massage my ego.

The majority of left wing individuals I have met are usually poor, make, make stupid financial decisions, and are usually not logical. Of course I think if you go to far either end of the spectrum you aren't very intelligent, but there are a lot of quite intelligent skin-heads.

If you need examples of right-wing people who are intelligent just look at Ben Shapiro, Milo Yiannoplous, Notch and the majority of people in finance as well as executives and lawyers.

You are not using "racism" in the way we use that word in America. You have a different definition. I wouldn't describe what you are saying as "racism". You are just nationalist.

Do you like describe yourself as racist? Does it make you feel better than just saying nationalist? Does everyone equate the two in Portugal?

Education is vital for a well functioning society. Of course i defend education. Althought i think politics should be out of education, and education shouldn't be o the hands of beaurucrats, but teachers.

>The communists were having other revolutions in the 20th century

not at the same scale, and definely with the same effect.

Because you see, not everyone in the early XX century was industrial wage-slave angry about his situation. In fact, the rural population was big and mostly conservative, it was only in cities where the fenomena of proletarian mases uniting could actually result in somekind of revolution.

So from start not all workers were united.

Then starting a revolution is not easy. Having a powerfull country helps, of course, but you need money, logistics and doing things that you wouldn't be proud of.

With lack of complete support comes the lack of resources.

And the, taking into account how they fought in the spanish civil war(the epitome of class war), they used democratic structures in military organizations, they didn't conformed a unified chain of command and even their logistics were fuck up by their constan need of "freedom"(meaning that factories produced whatever the fuck they wanted)

So they lacked the complete support they were so convinced they were going to get, this resulted in lower resources so needed to fight a much bigger power and they were quite shit at fighting when they were about to wage war against organized militaries.

Meanwhile, the Kaiser financed Lenin, Russia was in a war that required all his attention into a front where no one ever wanted to go and the bolcheviks actually put a somewhat lasting army that could defeat both the Tzar and the democratic goverment that was about to stablish in Russia.

Yeah, maybe it was the enviroment that pushed things a little further. But, the basic idea that workers would unite was dumb from the start.

There are many kind of workers, living in very different conditions and even when most live in shit you can't expect them to work unified. Marx should have described the military organization of any proletarian uprising.

>Most of /pol/ is simply too dumb and indoctrinated to even consider the thought of actually looking into what socialism his.

/pol/ follow a very steep interpretation of socialism, where:

>Race is the uniting factor between people, not economic wealth.
>The state is the central organizer of what is race and what to do with each race.
>Race has to be protected at all costs.
>Race has to be improved without taking into account individual considerations.
>War is legit way to imrpove the life style of your race.
>Colective crimes can be considered from a race perspective.
>The final goal is a specially designed humanity, united by race and improved in that regard to transcend the idea of humanity, and therefore any need for wealth or class.

Under these assumptions, it means that protecting your people from the abuses of power its a job for the state, and race-fraternity should be taked into account when problems arises. therefore the "class war" is eliminated in favor "class cooperation" or in a better term "race cooperation"

So is obvious that there is a reason why its called "national"- "socialism" the problem is that it doesn't fall under normal nationalistic guidelines of people being born in a certain place but rather a more materialistic aproeach based around their genetic content, and is clearly socialistic in the sense that is a reinterpretation of social protectionism for classes while at the same time delivers a common goal for all the race(classes) to end all struggle.

I think you're the one who is taking this in a very simplistic aproach.

Because they think they'll form a ruling caste of planners and experts, in which they'll rise and fall based on academic achievement.

In reality they'll get rekt by men of lower intelligence and morals, who won't hesitate to frame them as saboteurs in order to ensure their own career advancement.

>>
>>78192980

The more educated they are, the more useless they are.

People who know a trade, who can work with their hands are being called less intelligent by these people because of a collective inferiority complex.

The more educated they are, bigger their inferiority complex kicks in.

Higher education also means that these are gullible little shits who ate everything their professors threw at them, they have no critical sense and lack the means of rational thinking.

Often, the more educated you are, the more useless you are.
>>
>>78192980
pic shows american party affiliation rather than collectivism and also not education but IQ, but I'll take it. Your hypothesis may still be true.

An explanation that I can find to be fitting very often is that people from the upper middle class upwards, who often are well educated, claim to be collectivist when they are not personally affected by the political decisions they promote. The moment their personal interests are touched they become very egoistic. It think they have a bad conscience about being well off and try to whitewash that by proclaiming some, mostly symbolic, engagement for other people. Germany is rife with all these fair-trade stuff and climate-neutral crap - but only when they can afford it.

Yes, I seriously do. If there was a choice for my children to go to university to study gender studies and queer theory versus not going to university at all, which do you think I'd prefer? There's such a thing as bad education. These classes teaches the student to accept a very narrow ideological viewpoint of the world and is in no way practical or edifying.
