That's not really accurate though. Because at the least I'd have to drive maybe 10 miles to the closest gun/range or gun show and then just buy a gun. Also there is a waiting period.

Sounds good to me. But then again, it's not that easy to buy a gun. Rifles you can get same day only if you pass the background check. Handguns have waiting periods, even if you pass the background check.
