Honestly I just think Lewandowski was an enabler of Trump more than anything. He was completely complacent with Trump having no infrastructure, no real fundraising operation, no internal polls, he was withholding important information and he was pushing away RNC staff which makes everyone increasingly nervous.
Not that Trump needs to be politically incorrect, but I think Trump now realizes with the staff expansion that while he might not need 900 employees he needs more than 70 and he needs field staff in swing states. Ground game is real, under Corey Trump lost almost every single caucus, and in some of these cases Trump was polling well (Kansas) and the end result was completely lopsided due to Cruz's GOTV operations, as well as the blunder with all the delegate operations where they had no system in place.

Roger Stone is a huckster at times and usually throws out shit like machine gun fire but he has been right on the money this election cycle, although he kept hyping up that Romney was literally going to run after Rubio lost Florida.
Trump doesn't despise Stone, he actually calls him from time to time for advice. He called him during the beginning of the whole "Hand over the Delegates" saga where Cruz was packing delegations with his turncoats. Stone introduced Manafort to the campaign.
Manafort wasn't able to fix a lot of the delegate situation because most of them were already set in stone so he basically set up the landslides that were NY, the ACELA primaries and Indiana.
